A Pop of Colour
Despite the chill in the air, spring is here, and with it comes fresh air, warmer breezes and an array of colours! I love wearing colour irrespective of season and temperature, but there’s just something about springtime that makes me want to reach for those pieces in the neon electric side of my colour wheel wardrobe!
Coordinates were a hot thing last year, and I dove into this trend head first, but only recently pulled this little number out of my closet. With its black and white print that helps to make my body look a little fuller with the fitted pencil skirt and blousy top, it also provides the perfect foundation for paring with a host of colours, both bright and muted.
I wanted to add a pop of colour that would leave a lasting impression on those retinas, so I pulled out my neon green coat perfect for keeping away what’s left of the winter chill, but bright enough to ensure that you get seen. This coat is not for the faint of heart or for those preferring to blend in! It’s for the woman that is not afraid to stand out in a crowd!
Accessorizing this look was a synch. Black and white goes with just about everything, so I decided to add a little more print to this look in the form of these snake print colouful pumps. The colours compliment the look beautifully and the print adds more visual interest and frankly, I just love ‘em.
I kept the jewelry super simple by rocking this funky geometric design cuff and pewter earrings. This look is perfect for an after work gathering or, if you switch up the earrings, would be great for a day at the office when you want to show your colleagues that “yeah, I still got it”!LOL
So have fun with colour this season and remember, don’t be afraid to stand out from the crowd!
*A huge thank you to Roseline Bonheur for the AMAZING photos! I loved them so much, I just had to use as many as possible for this post!:-) Merci Roseline!
Till next time!
