For my tall glamazons the JustFab swimsuit will work for you! Here are some skirt options though Skirt
It’s time to work yuh waist #IslandGal style cause its about to be Caribana time in Toronto aka the 6ix, aka the Tdot! The city is busy getting itself ready to play host to the largest Caribbean festival in North America so of course I gotta make sure my “Jump Up” outfit is on point!
For this look, I wanted to keep it sexay but classy. Okay, on the real, this look was cobbled together because Caribana creeped up on me LOL. I bought this black convertible/multi way swimsuit last year. Two nights before this shoot I thought, “Lemme try a couple-a-things with this here swimsuit and see what I can do.” I turned the swimsuit backwards, criss crossed the straps and then looked to dress my lower half.
I decided to keep it all black by reaching for this lovely black skirt that I featured from Les Poupoune du Luxe. I love the wrap style of this skirt as it reveals a hint of leg but not too much if you know what I mean. With that I added some cute heels and accessories et voila – my Caribana outfit is complete! Now it’s time to wave me flag! BOUYAKA BOUYAKA BOUYAKKA! 🙂

For my curvy ladies: Jumpsuit or Jumpsuit //
This year for Caribana, I decided to do it up-up-up! This wonderful white wide-leg jumpsuit is both elegant and sexy, and yet oh so comfortable! You will be able to get on bad and not have to worry about accidentally flashing your lady bits!lol
This jumpsuit is also great because it makes me feel like I’m all dolled up with so very little effort. All I had to do was throw on some bold earrings and cuff bracelets and I was good to go. The only concern for this style of jumpsuit is if you have a larger bosom. As the front is quite low and wide, if your girls are on the larger side you may need to find a way to keep them from making an impromptu appearance. I, alas, do not have this to worry about. I was more concerned about how much sternum I was showing!lol
My final accessory for this look is my trusty Jamaican flag so that I can jump and wave! And with that, I’m ready for Caribana 2018!

My tall babes : Dress
It’s that time of year again! Colorful flags waving in the air, all shades of rich melanin in bold costumes dancing in the streets repping their countries for the #1 North American festival commonly known as Caribana.
I’m not playing mass this year but I’ll be sure to represent with my red and blue flag and this adult contemporary sexy dress lol. Let me tell you all a little something about this floral dress – my gosh! This dress sat in my saved items page for weeks until my favorite online store decided to put it on sale! That’s when I snatched it up because the price was too good to pass up!
With a touch-up done by my seamstress to make sure that the dress fit me perfectly, I must say I am extremely happy with the final result.
I love every detail of this dress: the one sleeve with the built in strap and the one heart shape. Very edgy yet fashionable, just the way I like it.
This dress screams “catch me at a brunch day party”, and that’s exactly where I’m going to wear it .
With simple strap sandals and my accessories I’m ready for my photo op and the party!

Plus size mavens! This dress isfor you!
Sak Passe!!! As a proud Haitian, I always look forward to Caribana to represent my beautiful island. This year is no exception.
Having given birth six months ago, my body hasn’t snapped back all the way just yet, but that didn’t stop me from snatching this oh so sexy sexy dress! The color, the ruffle detail, the high slit! I could not leave it behind.
The one challenge with this dress was securing the boobage (big boobied babes and breastfeeding moms, stand up!!). I opted for a strapless bra but since the back is low, I needed low back extenders to bring the back strap down – see here
While this dress oozes class and sophistication, the scuba material is super comfortable, all while smoothing out all “imperfections” – just what I need to dance the day away (whoever came up with the concept of a day party deserves a Nobel prize!)
Have fun out there and be safe!
Happy Caribana!
