Fall is fast approaching, and with it come some of our fab fall faves! What has 4 sides, 4 corners and is square all over? Gingham, checks and plaids, and the Fab Four ladies are ready to give you the right angle on how to rock this hot trend.
Skirt for Tall babes: ASOS
Fall is my second favorite season for fashion, and what I love the most is checks in the form of gingham and tweed. I don’t wear lot of black and white during the summer but in fall I’m here for that. When a peplum and gingham get together, you end up with a banging midi skirt like the one I found on ASOS on sale yes you heard right LOL.
As soon as I saw this skirt I knew I had to have it! I love the fit and I’m here for the peplum detail. It’s versatile, so I can wear it with so many things .
I plan to wear my skirt with a blouse for work, and with a nice printed t-shirt for play. Since the temperature has cooled a bit, I decided to wear my skirt with a simple black turtleneck, and I kept it hip with my boom box purse R.I.P. Radio Rahim.
My motto in life is you only live once, so make the best of it. Don’t be afraid to step out of the box.
Can we say ga-gah for gingham?! That basically describes me! I have fallen hard for this trend and am so happy that it is still big for fall!
As you can probably tell, I went for a suit with conventional lines, but an oh so unconventional print! I love the gingham black and white print as it take something classic and makes it much more interesting.
Because I’m just extra, I had to layer on another print to this look. This coat layered over this suit adds a little funkiness that I just love. Then add the hot pink pumps and this girl is ready to slay all day! Day or night, I’m ready for whatever!
Donning a fun print always jazzes up any outfit and this body con skirt does just that!
Skirt: Rebdolls (old) similar here // Jacket: Reitmans // See through top: Forever 21 Plus (old) similar here // Sleeveless Top: H&M similar here // Fishnet stockings: Addition Elle // Clutch: etsy (old) similar here
As many of you may know, I love black and white colour combos so here again is another reason for me to be in love with this outfit.
As summer breezes wane, we all start to reach for longer sleeve items for warmth. Here I layered a see through long sleeved top beneath a sleeveless ruffled edge top. I took the layering idea even further by throwing on a jacket to top off my look.
For some added jenaisquoi I added fishnet stockings – another big trend and this clutch for a pop of colour.
Fall is around the corner and the fab pieces are out to play! This mama is here to show you how you can stretch your clothes into the new season!
Pregnancy Hack #2: Wrap tops are your best friends. This is an easy peasy way to dress your bump and you can definitely wear it postpartum. Also, I’m a firm believer of being versatile with your clothing: here, I am wearing the top backward! Why? Well, why not!
Oh, and speaking of having clothes being versatile, the “skirt” that I am wearing here is a dress. I wore it as a dress here and as a top here. This bodycon material is stretchy and comfortable so it works for the bump… for now anyway.
And a Nancy look wouldn’t be complete without my signature pop of color; hence the shoes.
Tah tah for now,
The Fab Four
