Def Leopard

My name is Leslie, and I’m a printaholic. Polka dots, paisleys, African or Aztec, whatever the print, I just love ’em all! But, of late, I’ve been noticing that one print in particular has been claiming valuable real estate space in my closet over the last few seasons, and that is leopard! From handbags and shoes, to dresses and pants, I have at least one item in this fierce animal print, and I’m always more than ready to add to my ever-increasing collection!

From work to play, a leopard print wardrobe element can take an outfit from zero to 100 real quick! Don’t just rock that leopard print scarf and call it a day, throw on one of these wardrobe must haves to take your outfit from “hmm” to “HOT”!  So, move over Mufasa, there’s a new King in town!

For Work, But

As I’ve been saying, I can wear leopard print any-day-all-day (yes, I did just snap my fingers with each of those words.)   Oh and by the way, Mother Nature was my Beyonce wind machine for this photo shoot lol.

For my work colleagues reading this right now, you know you recognize this first look since it’s in my regular work rotation and I still continue to receive compliments on it (thanks guys)! So my advice, don’t be afraid to rock that leopard print with colours other than black & beige!

This look is my ode to my hometown of Montreal! Every Thursday, after a long day at the sweatshop, um I mean work, we’d head out for a “cinq à sept”, a.k.a. “happy hour” and I’d always do a little remix to my look to take it from day to evening. A quick update to my earrings and shoes and I’m ready for a martini and some soulful house tunes!

I adore the versatility of leopard print and its timeless appeal. Worn here with a simple gray sweatshirt and nude heels and the leopard print adds all the visual interest I need.

Well ok, these gorgeous earrings from H&M’s new “Conscious Collection” help too!

This leopard print skirt, that is actually a dress, can be dressed up or down to create new looks. You may recognize it from our post on the Fab Four’s visit to the AGO where I rocked it as a top, and you’re guaranteed it will pop up in posts to come!

For Life…

Ok I admit, I started off this post by encouraging you all to pair your leopard print with colours other than black and beige, I must confess, it just goes oh so well with them!

Throw on a fitted black blazer, with these fabulous pants, and this outfit looks stylish and sophisticated and still keeps that “funk” factor that I need in my wardrobe!

The yellow shoes are a gorgeous pop of colour that compliment the look and keep it interesting and fun!

So ladies, next time you go shopping for new wardrobe additions, be sure to pick up some more leopard print pieces, so that you will be the fiercest cat in the concrete jungle!

Till next time!

~Leslie
