Fall Trend Spotting

Feel that crispness in the air? The seasons are changing and with it, our styles. Time for fall trend spotting, and here are a few looks that we love this season!

Nancy’s Look

Dress: long tall sally // Shoes: Nine West

Plus size babes, there are plenty of options out there for you, but check out this one and that gorgeous one too!

There are some colors and prints that always seem to make it into autumn trends. I for one am happy that florals have found a way into the cooler temperatures! This romantic print is one that, just like flowers, can fit any season, it just boils down to the colors. The warm green and deep red on my dress was giving me all the feels.

In this weeks edition of dress the bump, we are continuing with clothes that aren’t from the maternity section (meaning will be worn post baby!). I am wearing the dress as an empire waist. There is an elastic waist which allows for max comfort. The light material makes it easy and breezy.

Since it is coming from the tall section, the arm length is perfect for us long legged babes! I finished my look with sexy black pumps and black dangly earrings as it is just the right accent to this busy print, allowing the dress to take center stage!

Fall is one of my favorite seasons simply because of the fashion. I love the oversized coats, nice warm sweaters and a good old trench coat; and  yes I’m here for this.  Trench coats are one of those trends that never goes out of style, and I find the right one can transition well from a coat to a stylish dress.

Browsing online I stumbled upon this black and white striped trench coat that nearly took my breath away. I was determined to get it and get it I did.

This trench coat is the perfect combination of stylish and cute. I just love the small details of this coat, like the cut-out shoulders.

This time around I decided to wear this trench coat as a dress, and kept it simple with my black strappy sandals,  and a cute lunch box /small coca cola purse.  I kept it moving feeling like Olivia Pope 2.0!

Leslie’s Look

Jacket: Zara // Shirt: Zara (sold out, similar here or here) // Pants: ASOS (sold out, similar here) // Shoes: Zara (old similar here) // Fishnets: Zara //

For my sexy plus size babes: Jacket // Shirt or Shirt // Pants or Pants // Fishnets //

I am usually not a big fall fan, but the fly fashions that I’ve been spying are adding a little spice to the season that have got my fashion taste buds bursting.

I went all the way me with this look, no holes barred. I like it funky, I like it a little different and always like a twist and this look had each element in spades.

I kept the overall colour pallet simple, but brought in some layering, texture and touches of “trendy”.

The Victorian collar is huge for fall 2017 and I scoope this baby up from Zara for under $20! Fishnets are also a hot trend, and these wide fishnets combined with the white pumps make me feel like a femme fetale and a princess all rolled into one!lol

Rounding out my look were these check printed culottes and this short sleeve jacket with slightly oversized shoulder pads. I LOVED this jacket at first sight, but I’m always concerned about larger shoulder pads because I have broad shoulders. But, the trick to adding longevity to this piece is, when you’re tired of the large shoulder pads or the trend is no more, simply have them removed. It’s an easy snip and tuck, and you can continue rocking this hot jacket for years to come!

I am now ready for my editorial spread in Vogue, or to roll out with the crew for drinks, in no particular order!;-)

Gail’s Look

Faux Leather Skirt: Zulily (sold out) similar here // Jacket: Ashley Stewart (sold out) similar here or here //Faux Fur Collar: eBay // Earrings: H&M //Shoes: Nine West (old) similar here

For my tall sisters: Skirt //Jacket Jacket or  Jacket

Leather, in every colour and style, graced the runways for Fall 2017 so, I had to get in on this trend.

I chose this caramel coloured faux leather pencil skirt from online sample sale retailer, Zulily. I adore this site as I’ve been able to snag some great deals like this skirt which happens to have a little stretch to it which makes it uber comfortable.

I paired my skirt with this tan coloured cropped trench style jacket from Ashley Stewart.  I love that this jacket is cropped because I have a short torso so I always gravitate towards cropped jackets when available. But long or short, I love a trench style coat!

Now for some glamour in the form  of this faux fur collar – isn’t it fabulous?!  Wrapped around my neck, I feel like a million bucks.

To round out my look I added these leopard slingback pumps – et voila, I’m ready to strut!

Tah tah for now,

The Fab Four
