It’s Wedding Season
Wedding seasons is in full swing and it’s a glorious time to celebrate friends who are starting their new lives together. This wonderful time can also be a little anxiety producing when the search for the perfect dress begins. Join us we offer you some wedding guest style options!
I love attending weddings in the summer, but the toughest part is finding the right dress – if you’re not in the bridal party that is. I’m always on the lookout for the perfect wedding dress, LOL since I was blessed with curves I can’t rely on the regular stores at the mall to find something last minute to wear.
Therefore, when I find a dress appropriate for a wedding I buy it and keep it in my closet. For this wedding season I found the perfect midi length blush colored dress. I love the asymmetric shoulder detail, and this dress comes in one of my favorite materials which is scuba. I can’t say enough about how much I love this material. If you are not familiar with it, allow me to enlighten you just a little; it is opaque, with a good amount of stretch, yet firm enough to cinch your body perfectly.
This is the type of dress that I would wear to a cocktail or garden party style of wedding, and keep it simple by wearing a pair of nude sandals, nude or pinky lipstick, and a nice pair of funky earrings to add a little something extra to the overall look.
Ohh and one last thing, this dress has enough stretch just in case I need to take a dive to catch the bouquet LOL
This dress can work perfectly for my plus size sisters as it’s custom!
Unless you’re meeting him at the alter in a white dress, weddings can be a headscratcher when it comes to what to wear. While the pressure is less when you’re attending a laid back garden wedding, you still want to bring it without being too over the top or too casual. This is where this little number comes into play.
I found this baby at an outlet mall in Jersey. I literally had less than 30 minutes to shop and as I was running past the store, I saw this dress on the corner of my eye. It stopped me in my tracks and I had to double take like this LOL. The print is what first attracted me. Then it was the fun and flirty ruffle hemline. Also, the material is so light that it feels as if the dress is just casually kissing your curves (yes, all that… LOL).
I went with my usual gold bling to finalize this fit and with these hot sandals which will definitely get kicked off so that I can get on bad! LOL
Yet another wedding season is upon us and I’m so excited as I have two weddings to attend this year! I’m so happy that my dear friends have found happiness together!
As you may or may not know, I love the colour combination of black and white so when I saw this dress online…drumroll please….at Forever 21 I just had to have it! It’s a beautiful dress with loads of stretch and has a scuba like texture.
I love the ruffle detail in the front as well as the bodycon style of the dress which shows of my curves beautifully!
I completed my look by adding white heels with see through detailing at the front and long dangly earrings. Now, I’ve gotta go fight Judy to catch that bouquet! LOL

I love spring/summer time as it always Harold’s the start of wedding season, and this girl loves a good wedding! From the ceremony to the reception party I just love it all. My only concern is, “what the heck am I gonna wear this time”!
That’s where this lovely, simple yellow dress from New York & Co comes in. I bought it last year “just because”, I had no event in mind. But when riffling through my wardrobe to find something I could don for my friend’s upcoming nuptials, this little number jumped out to me as the perfect piece.
Simple lines and details are the winning attributes of this dress. But it was the colour that first set my heart a flutter when I saw it. For my slim ladies out there, be warned, when purchasing from New York & Co., you will most likely have to have your pieces taken in to fit. I have purchased a few pieces from them and every single one had to be tailored to fit me (even when I took the smallest available size).
To round out my look, I decided to mix my metals by rocking gold earrings, bangles and sandals with the silver accents on the dress. A simple and uncomplicated look that makes me feel elegant and stylish! I can’t wait for this wedding.
Tah tah for now!
