Nude and New
Don’t call it a comeback y’all! We’ve been around, revamping our site and prepping fresh new posts for you. So, sit back, relax and enjoy our monochromatic story in shades of nude.
Forever changing the meaning of “send me some nudes” LOL.
So happy to be back y’all! I’ve missed you!!! First thing you may have noticed is that I’ve lost a couple of inches to my hair! That’s right, I chopped it off!! No, it’s not some Waiting to Exhale moment where someone ticked me off, though that would make a good story lol. Just didn’t feel that my hair was healthy so I decided to do a big(ish) chop. Best. Thing. I’ve. Done. All. Year. I could go on and on but you’re not here for my hair right now are you? And if you are, do let me know cuz I’d be HAPPY to share more.
So now onto the fashion. If you want a dress that screams Yaaasssss baby, Yasss, look no further lol. Let me tell you, this dress clings to your EVERY curve, which I love. So be ready to turn heads with this one! Having said that, finding suitable underwear was not an easy feat. For the moms out there and the ones who have breastfed, you KNOW what I’m talking about… LOL the gurls may not sit pretty like they used too, and need help! I went with my trusty stickers, but making sure that they didn’t poke through the fabric was not simple. I went with stickers that have a smooth satin finish to get the look that I wanted. I will have to try it again with the magical sticking bra that is all over instagram. I will report later.
Back to the dress, lol. This was my first purchase from na-kd.com and it will not be the last! Customer service was excellent and shipping was super fast! Now, if only they had a tall line!!! Alas, the dress was meant to be va-va-voom so I didn’t Mind the shorter hemline. Gotta show off them gams, yes?
I finished my look with my favorite: gold everywhere and was ready to say I’mmmm baaaaaackkk *cue jazz hands*
Hello guys your favorite Curvy Fashionista is back after a little hiatus LOL. We may have a new look and logo, but one thing hasn’t changed, we’re still here to SLAY! This blush nude outfit feels like a rebirth. A little confession though, this outfit was inspired by Solange Knowles as I saw her wearing something like this while on tour, and I made it my mission to find something similar:-)
I was a bit self-conscious at first about wearing this cut out dress because I don’t usually wear dresses in this style. However, once I put it on I was quite happy with how it turned out.For this look I kept my accessories very simple with blush nude pumps, gold earrings and bracelets.
Stay tuned ladies and gents Miss Judy got a lot more to show you this year and I am ready to bring it!
It feels so good to be back and sharing our fab fashion finds with you! While I simply LOVE wearing bright vibrant colours, there’s something to be said for a neutral when it looks like this too hot to handle to cold to hold, sexilicious (yeah I said sexilicious) dress I scooped up from House of CB. Never heard of ‘em? If you like to intermingle a little sexy with your sweeter wardrobe essentials, you need to take a “scroll” through this site.
Now let me say up front, this is not a sponsored post. I placed my order, entered my trusty credit card number and waited patiently for my dress to arrive. Living in Canada and ordering from the states, we can sometimes experience lags in delivery times, but this delivery seemed to arrive in the blink of an eye. I got it within about 3 days! It came beautifully wrapped too! Felt like I was receiving a gift (except that I paid for it!lol)
Now down to the deets on the dress. It looked EXACTLY as it did on-line which is fab. Faux leather pieces can sometimes be tricky as you don’t know if they will feel and/or look super fake. This dress looks and feels fantastic.
Now for the fit….ok, so this was the only area I raised an eyebrow. Ladies, you MUST know your size! I can only speak for this one item from House of CB, but it fits exactly to my measurements. When I first tried on the dress, I even found it a tad snug (trust me, you could not pinch an inch on me in this dress chile!lol). It actually did stretch just a bit after wearing it which was perfect, and I felt like a bombshell in it!
Styling this look I wanted to glitter in gold! All gold accessories from the earrings to the shoes, and these bold “wonder woman” cuffs make me feel like I can take on the world (and block speeding bullets wink-wink). Who needs to call on the power of Gray Scull when you can slip into a number like this one to harness your inner super woman!
For my plus size divas: Dress made to measure baby!//
This bandage dress is my ode to French designer Herve Leger who first debuted the dress back in 1994. My version is a little more plus size friendly in that I was able to get it in my size from good old Charlotte Russe Plus! To say that this dress hugs me in all the right places is an understatement! I just love it. It’s very comfortable and really “holds” you in such that I’m not even wearing any kind of shapewear.
I also love the fact that the dress hits me just above the knee…no tailoring needed. That just doesn’t typically happen for me so I love this dress even more.
I paired my gem of a bandage dress with leopard print heels because as you know, us Fab Four Babes consider leopard print to be a neutral.
I finished the look with gold accessories and just like that I’m ready to take on whatever!
It feels so good to be back baby!!!
HUGE thank you goes out to Anna Deborah who kept on in check during this photoshoot and to Vanja Peric for getting behind the lense! Thanks ladies!
Tah tah for now!
The Fab Four xoxo
