Summer in the City

Summer is not only about shorts, tanks and bikinis. It’s also a great time to break out a cute summer dress or some spectacular prints and cool fabrics. The ladies of Fab Four Fashion took the plunge into summer fashion fun and are dressing up the way they do best!

I love wearing summer dresses when the mercury rises above that 25 degree mark. They are the perfect piece to where to allow the warm summer breezes to help cool you down on a hot day, and give you some breathability.
This African print dress is one of my favourites to pull on on a hot day. The cotton material allows me to stay cool, and the flared skirt gives me maximum movement. I love this style of dress as it gives me a beautiful silhouette and gives us women the freedom of wearing any style of undergarments we like. If you want to wear something to prevent the dreaded thigh chaffing, this is a perfect piece!
Accessorising this look was a synch. You have the option of dressing it up or down depending on your mood! I wanted to dress it up a bit so I went for bold jewelry and high heeled pumps. Yet another advantage of this dress and the beautiful print, one has the option of wearing many different styles and colour of shoes.
And with that, I’m going to hit a rooftop party with the crew!

I love maxi dresses, and this one from eShakti fits me to a “T”. We’ve talked about how much we love this awesome retailer in the past as their clothing is completely customizable so you’re sure to find something in a size “you”! No one has been left out at eShakti!
For me, summer isn’t summer without an easy breezy maxi (see how I made that rhyme LOL). I love the chevron pattern on this cotton dress and the fact that it has pockets!!!!!! I added a simple black belt to highlight my waist.
To complete my look I added silver wedges, dangly earrings and aviators because the future is so bright, I gotta wear shades!

Summer is the time to bust out the lovely colors in your wardrobe, and to be more fashionably bold with your style, without having to wear a winter coat. Let me talk to you about a cute summery look that can take me to brunch and transition well into an after work social networking event.
For one thing, I’m always attracted to bright colors, they tend to uplift my spirit and brighten up my days LOL. If you know me by now, you know that I love wearing outfits that can transition from day to night. For this look I went for bright and light with a touch of pop art.
I wore this nice fitted yellow skirt that I got on sale a few weeks ago thru Eloquii. Little confession though, in order to get the skirt fitted to my body, I had to get a size down. The skirt is the perfect, mid-length that comes in a scuba material which fits nicely.
I scored this yellow, pink, and blue printed top for $6 at old navy yay. For that price I couldn’t leave it behind. The perfect summer coat for me is a cool jean jacket which can be thrown on over a summer dress, or rocked with a jumper and you are good to go. I was always on the lookout for the perfect jean jacket, and couldn’t find it until I went to Old Navy and found this one in a light blue denim. This jacket is the business! I love the light blue color and that it’s a bit stretchy so that I can actually wear a sweater underneath and not feel constricted. Trust me, it’s the worst feeling being virtually trap in your clothes LOL.
To add a dash of pop art to my outfit I wore my white frame sunglasses, a silver cubed necklace, my famous Kashmir clutch frame with the incomparable Grace Jones and a pair of blush pumps, and I’m ready to brighten your day while I take over the 6ix.

Nancy’s Look
On any given day, you will catch me in jeans or in a jumpsuit; but every now and then, I like to break out a sweet and girly dress. This dress hits the mark on all accounts. In a not so distant past, you would never catch me wearing florals… Yet, just in the past couple of months, I’ve worn florals over, over and over again. Go figure!
This dress is just adorable. It screams easy, breezy and beautiful. The material is lightweight and makes it the perfect piece on a hot summer day. The top part has suttle stiches which does wonders for our figure. It has a nice adjustable cross back along with a sweetheart neckline. To make this dress even more perfect, it has pockets!
This is yet another piece that can be dressed up or down. I plan on wearing it with some cute lace up flats, but that’s not the route I took here! I decided to dress it up by wearing my dress with fushia pumps. I added a belt to define my waist and the right amount of bling around my neck.
Dress: Banana Republic (it comes in ‘Regular’, Tall and Petite) // Shoes: Aldo (old); similar here
Tah tah for now!
