World MasterCard Fashion Week: Day 3
Day 3 of Fashion week began with a studio collection by Montreal based designer Paulina Wonder. Paulina’s line, Atelier Wonder, made its World MasterCard Fashion Week debut and featured pieces that reminded me of 80’s Pop singer Pat Benatar….cool, subversive streetwear.
Triarchy is a Vancouver based design firm that specializes in casual urban wear; lots of denim with a select line of accessories.
Malorie Urbanovitch founded her label in Edmonton back in 2012. Her fall 2015 women’s wear collection featured saturated autumnal colours and long knits.
Klaxon Howl’s men’s wear collection was a marriage of Steve McQueen meets Jesse James -simple yet rugged pieces that look very pulled together.
Mackage closed day 3 by featuring beautifully crafted outwear pieces and once again, they did not disappoint. The models were clad in beautifully fitted moto jackets for men and women were my favourites!
The designer whose look I decided to recreate is Canadian based designer Hayley Elsaesser. She is known for her he bold graphic prints and luxurious fabrics. I choose her because I love how she blends bold prints pieces with vibrant colors. For me her pieces epitomized “joie de vivre!”
Since I’m a curvy woman, I wanted to create a look that accentuated my curves. This crop top and skirt set are from my favourite online store ASOS. My looks are never complete without a spring coat to keep away the cool breezes. This one by River Island is just gorgeous and I love the powder blue colour. For the shoes, I decided, “Why not splurge you only live once” and went for it by adding these playful sandals by Sophia Webster. I chose this clutch as it is right up Hayley Elsaesser’s alley. I found this cute playful number at River Island. Last but not least a playful Lipsy necklace finishes the look.
