Women Supporting Women – Musemo Handahu
Next up in our Women Supporting Women series is Musemo Handahu (Mo), whose last name means Lionhunter – how cool is that. Miss Lionhunter, to her social media followers, has created a space where you vivid photography and deftly written posts keep us coming back for more. Occasionally, Mo’s brother, Tendai, makes an appearance offering the male style perspective. Without further ado, we give you Mo Handahu in her own words.
What first got you into fashion?
The way I dress speaks first, so I love the idea of creating a signature style that will leave a great first impression without me saying a word.
What made you want to start a blog and become a content creator/influencer?
The need for an online space that was my own and wanting to gain some confidence while seeing what I was capable of creatively.
Who is your style icon?
Currently, Lisa Folawiyo, a Nigerian fashion designer who is best known for using traditional West African textiles with contemporary tailoring techniques with a particular emphasis on beading and sequin trim.
Who is your favourite designer and why?
My latest love is Delpozo, the brand’s use of shape and colour brings butterflies to the bottom of my belly, in a good way!
