Forget the call of the wild! The inescapable call of the Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO) was too alluring to the ladies of Fab Four Fashion this week. We were awed by the thought provoking, expressive work of painter Jean-Michel Basquiat. His large scale pieces held us enthralled, as did the beautiful lines and winding contours of the architecture of the gallery. I mean really, who could ask for a better backdrop for our looks this week than the AGO! Leslie’s Look I was inspired by menswear lines like
One thing we absolutely LOVE about Fridays is that it’s the end of a very long work week, but more importantly it’s when the Fab Four get to show you what we’re lusting after. This week Leslie up and by her admission it couldn’t come soon enough! I have been lusting, craving, hankering, pining, reverently yearning for this Smythe printed blazer that is just that little bit out of reach (darn those pesky bills), but here’s one of the ways I plan to rock it when I finally
Black and white is one of my fav colour combinations. I know I’ve mentioned that before but it bares repeating. So, when I came across some old re-runs of Charlie’s Angels I was inspired to recreate the cool 70’s vibe of police women television dramas like the Angels or Cagney & Lacey for day and night. The two looks below also highlight the versatility of a great suit! For my day time look I’ve paired my trusty black turtleneck with a white jacket and pants and funky wedge boots.
Glamour, style and class are some of the ideas we hope to share with you through our blog, so Vanity Fair was a fitting title for this post. Through this blog, we want to help women who sometimes struggle to find clothing that speaks to their sensibility and style by showing how we’ve scoured the internet and brick & mortor stores to find clothes and footwear that makes us feel like a million scratch that, a billion dollars! Judy’s Vanity Fair Look My look was inspired by the glamourous covers of
This past week has been an exciting whirlwind of activity for the ladies of Fab Four Fashion. World MasterCard Fashion Week hit Toronto and we were out and about like all the other fashion devotees trying to be among the first to get a glimpse of what will be hot for Fall 2015. Cameras in hand and heels at the ready, we took to David Pecaut Square to capture the catwalk creations, street style sensations, and spy-with-our-little-eyes local legends and international icons! Day 1 did not disappoint! Under the big
Toronto Fashion Week keeps rolling and we are thoroughly enjoying the Fall 2015 collections. Day 4 began with designer, Stacey Bafi-Yeboa, debuting her fall line. Stacey believes that comfort and glam should go hand in hand. Her line named Kania, marries those two ideas beautifully. The collection features long wrap style cardigans fabricated in the highest quality cotton and lycra. Hilary MacMillan’s women’s wear line featured clean lines that speak to a modern woman’s style sensibility. Lolé had models grace the run way in their beautifully styled active wear while Farley Chatto’s line
Day 3 of Fashion week began with a studio collection by Montreal based designer Paulina Wonder. Paulina’s line, Atelier Wonder, made its World MasterCard Fashion Week debut and featured pieces that reminded me of 80’s Pop singer Pat Benatar….cool, subversive streetwear. Triarchy is a Vancouver based design firm that specializes in casual urban wear; lots of denim with a select line of accessories. Malorie Urbanovitch founded her label in Edmonton back in 2012. Her fall 2015 women’s wear collection featured saturated autumnal colours and long knits. Klaxon Howl’s men’s wear collection was
