This summer season got me super excited for colorful outfits and off the shoulder tops, just like this super cute one with a printed palm tree design.  What I love most about this top is that it’s made out of a stretchy material, so when I move my arms around I don’t feel like I’m in a straightjacket!LOL

JS Edited IMG_0246

This outfit wouldn’t be complete without this purple midi skirt that I inherited from my mommy. The skirt and top together are the perfect combination of feminine and flirty, especially when I’m walking around and there is a breath of wind and it catches my top just so (oh yeah baby I be feeling myself:). I’ve been seeing a lot of different styles of off the shoulder tops in stores and online, and I hope this trend is here to stay for this season and the next!

The other important element of this outfit is my latest shoe purchase. I bought my first pair of Chinese Laundry sandals and so far I’m pretty impressed. They are quite colorful. I love the thin braided pink strap that goes across my foot, and the back of the sandal and heel are made out of several colors. In order to keep my feet from sliding forward, I wore one of my trusty insoles and I’m good money.

This season, the name of the game is to stay and look cool. I managed to do that with the cutest top. I actually was exiting the store when I saw it out of the corner of my eye and just snatched it up. Didn’t even try it on. I grabbed it and ran (to the cash, not out of the store.. lol).

ND IMG_0767

I have come to the realization that I have a short torso – yes, my height consists of 90% legs LOL. With that realization, I have come to enjoy tops that I would have previously assumed would be too short for me. This is one of them. I love the eye catching print and the fit is spot on.

ND IMG_0760

The top has adjustable straps to ensure the best fit. It has a cool exposed zipper and despite the fact that it is very fitted at the body, there is enough room at the bust such that my boobs weren’t squashed. It has a sweet sweetheart neckline and is peplum. I wanted to further accentuate my waist so I added a gold belt.

Wanting my top to play center stage, I kept the rest of my fit simple with this fitted midi pencil skirt and some strappy heels.

It would not be summer without a little glamour, so I decided to put a little funkiness into my summer wardrobe. The focus of this outfit, if you haven’t figured it out, is the vest!

LT Edited IMG_0591

This vest absolutely took my breath away when I first laid eyes on it. The colour, style and cool “architecture” of this vest is the type of thing I always look for in my clothing.

It’s that perfect piece for me, as it makes me look more curvy (i.e. fills me out a little:-) and it speaks to that edginess I like to incorporate into my looks.

LT Edited IMG_0415

I wanted the vest to be the focus of my look, but the close runner up are these gorgeous shoes I scooped up at Nine West. I don’t go into this store often enough, but these shoes have convinced me to put Nine West on my regular scouting rotation!LOL Print, colour, and a high heel? Oh, I was in love!

To complete my look, I jumped into this bright white, split front skirt, and threw on my bedazzling jewelry and I was good to go.

Summer time here I come!

As I mentioned earlier, this bodysuit has flutter sleeves so warm summer breezes rustle them and I just love that. The bodysuit is made of viscose and elastance so it has a soft jersey feel against the skin.

I paired the bodysuit with this equally gorgeous horizontal stripe skirt from Eloquii.  I’ve sung the praises of Eloquii many times and I will continue to do so.  They just design beautiful contemporary plus size clothing and even better, they always have a great sale coming up so you can scoop up that certain item you’ve been eyeing at a discount!  This skirt is made of a polyester – spandex mix so it hugs my curves beautifully!

When the weather warms up like this, it means one and only one thing: it’s time to get summertime fine! Lol Because I’m often quick to run to the store or online for a fly look, I challenged myself to get creative with existing pieces from my wardrobe.

ND Edited IMG_1124

Honestly, I know it’s really not that hard to pull pieces from your own wardrobe, but when your closet is in utter chaos (I can’t be alone on this one… am I? ?? Lol) it’s easy to forget some of the gorgeous pieces hidden in its depths.

Summer equals color, color, and more color. So when I rediscovered this Dedo Azu asymmetrical skirt, I knew that it would be at the center of my look.

ND Edited IMG_1222

I paired my dress with a sweetheart neckline top (which is actually a dress) that I wore here. Because I wanted the fullest full skirt ever, I added a tutu underneath. So I was basically wearing a dress with two skirts lol but it created just the right look that I was looking for and I didn’t drop a dime. YAY ME!

I finished off my look with a black cut out cuff for a dash of edge, some dangly black earrings and mustard pumps because it just goes! With that, I’m ready for summer night awesomeness!

I love wearing pretty summer dresses when  the weather warms up and this one is one of my faves! I’m sure you won’t be surprised to know that it was the gorgeous colour and super cool African print that drew me to this dress. The colour is fun and vibrant, while the print has the shape and symmetry that just appeals to me!

LT Edited IMG_1027

While this is a halter dress, I opted to rock it with a leather moto style jacket to give the illusion that it is actually a skirt. Truth be told, I also did this because I did not have time to have it altered and it’s still a wee bit too big!LOL But this just goes to show what you can do when you think outside the box!

The midi length of this dress is perfect for the tall girl and the flared skirt gives me some added volume on my bottom half.

LT Edited IMG_0853

The accessorizing of this outfit was easy. I wore a studded black belt to highlight my waist, and a little sparkle at the ears in the form of dangly earrings. To turn the colour all the way up, I added these neon yellow stilettos; and with that, I was ready to enjoy a warm spring evening and night out with that special someone, or with great friends!

Diamonds may be a girl’s best friend, but I would have to add sequins to the list too.  So, without question this skirt is the star of this outfit.  It hugs me in all the right places and when the light catches just right, its as though I’m shining bright like a diamond.

Dressing up and dressing well is something that I love doing oh so much.  For my dressy look I went for a subtle feminine, femme-fatale red dress. I was fortunate enough to find this gorgeous red dress that almost looks like a 2 piece set, in my favorite scuba material.  Red is a color that a lot of people shy away from, however you can never go wrong with the right shade of red. I found this dress on my favorite website, ASOS, and since the dress was well priced (you know I’m always looking for a great deal) I just had to have it!

JS Edited IMG_1395

What drew me to this dress is the illusion of it being a 2 piece set.  Also, I’m a sucker for a voluminous puffy skirt. Since the top of the dress is fitted and looks like a crop top, the bottom part being puffy creates an overall effect that I simply love!

JS Edited IMG_1543

Another great thing about this dress is that it is made out of a scuba material; it always does right by me.  I love the stretch that this material offers, but more importantly, I appreciate that the material holds me in at all the right places. A thicker scuba material carefully smooths out my blemishes which is always a plus.

JS edited IMG_1414

To complete my feminine femme-fatale look I paired my dress with some leopard print pumps and a sparkly necklace, and voila, I’m ready to conquer.

Another day, another opportunity to glam up with the squad!

I seem to really be gravitating towards florals this spring. While it is the “typical” spring thing, this is quite new for me…. And I’m loving it! This little number jumped on my screen as I was perusing the H&M website (side bar, did you hear that H&M will soon offer online shopping?!!??!! It took them long enough but I for one am VERY GLAD!)ND Edited IMG_8945

But the print wasn’t the only thing that attracted me to this little number. The fit! Oh the fit. It’s just perfect. The strategically placed seams allow this dress to hug you in all the right places. While it’s fitted it’s very comfortable and sucks you right in. This is really a thing of sewing magic.ND Edited IMG_8966

I decided to allow the dress to play center stage so I paired it with very minimal accessories. I had to break out the birdcage tho LOL. I added these purple pumps because, well, pop of color. You know how I do. LOL I was thinking about my Mom with this pairing because, as she would say, “it goes together”. Spring is upon us, and it’s time to bring out our lovely floral pattern skirts and dresses and enjoy the beautiful weather. One thing my girls and I enjoy during spring and summer, is going to high tea.

For a high tea event, I’m always torn between wearing a nice flowing dress, a fitted wiggle dress, or a nice skirt. This time my heart settled on this beautiful skirt that I stumble upon on Instagram when I was perusing through @iambeauticurve’s page. I clicked on the pic to get the deets of her outfit, and yeah baby I too was able to score this 2 piece yellow flower patterned skirt and crop top.

JS Edited IMG_9340

That same night I visited the Forever 21 store closest to my home. I must admit, I wasn’t too crazy about the complete coordinate set on me so I only went with the skirt. I was very impressed with the material and love the sheen it has to it.  It’s a great fit on me and I love the fact that it is high waisted and flares out.  Besides, yellow compliments my skin tone very well and I’m a sucker for a floral pattern.  A little confession: I was never a huge fan of floral patterns but once I found the right floral pattern I changed my mind.
JS Edited IMG_9349

For our high tea outing, I wore my new skirt with my off white high collar top which I also found at Forever 21 a few months ago.  To complete my look I wore my gold triangle earrings and my cream and gold pumps by Ivanka Trump.

Ok now I’m ready to go, I just hope they will have my favorite high tea delicacies, which are biscuits, jam and crème fraiche.

I so love going for a proper English afternoon tea! My sis and I started trying afternoon tea at various hotels many years ago when we were still living in Montreal, and the trend has continued ever since!

Of course, it goes without saying that an important part of these outings is the outfit. I love wearing fun , flirty, feminine pieces for these high tea activities; makes me feel like a proper English lady.

LT Edited IMG_9542

I am still in love with all looks mod inspired, so this dress appealed to my retro sensibilities. The cool print and soft sheen immediately caught my attention when I clapped eyes on it on the salesperson in the store; and the short length that shows of my gams to perfection, made for a real winner! I love this style of lose fitted dress as you never need worry about those dreaded panty lines and no need to loosen anything after a big meal;-) To me, the key to the success of this style of dress is to ensure the areas that are supposed to be fitted (i.e. the shoulders and bust), fit well. If they are too big, it will look more sack like (no one wants that!)

LT Edited IMG_9489

ASOS For All

Grp Edited IMG_2708
ASOS: 4 letters which stand for As Seen On Screen and so much more! Indeed, ASOS responded to the increasing body image dissatisfaction in the UK – which is an issue faced everywhere really – by harnessing its influence among young fashion-lovers to promote healthy body image. They have funded and partnered with organizations such as The Diana Award which is an anti-bullying charity that works on raising young people’s self-esteem and body confidence; and also Beat, which offers a safe and supportive environment for discussion between those with an eating disorder. They even engaged with the UK government on this topic by participating on the UK All Party Parliamentary Group on Body Image (APPG) in early 2012. The group’s objective was to uncover ways to promote a healthier body image in the wider community.
How awesome is that! Representation for all is what Fab Four Fashion is all about. ASOS understands that fashion is for ALL bodies, shapes and sizes and they embody the phrase “Style Beyond Size!” to a tee! See how we decided to partake in their fashionable offerings.Grp Edited IMG_2776

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: I’m a sucker for a hot print. I know you all know this; It’s not news right? But did you also know that I have an obsession with the United Kingdom? You may be asking yourself what does that have to do with a hot print? Nothing really, but  it has a lot to do with many pieces in my wardrobe.LT Edited IMG_3750

I love British retailers!! They provide amazing clothing pieces for the masses and you will often find that their sizing is much more generous, whether it be for clothing or shoes. And ASOS is one of my all time favorite! Gail introduced me to them years ago, and I’ve been a faithful customer ever since!  Offering clothing in straight sizes as well as plus sizes and offering tall and petite options as well! ASOS really does it like no other. Fashionable. Affordable. Classic. Trendy. Tall. Plus size. Curvy. Petite. We don’t all come in the same shapes and size and we all want hot clothing. The good folks at ASOS clearly understand this. I dream of the day when they provide a brick and mortar option, but until then, I will continue to endulge on the world wide web.

ND Edited IMG_4330

Many years ago, in my rookie online shopping days, I made the crucial mistake of ordering a garment thinking that the UK and US sizes were the same… Well they’re not! LOL. Don’t be a rookie Nancy, and consult the size chart! I have since ordered a number of pieces from them (including shoes big footed babes!!) and the fit is heavenly for this tall girl (remember this tall dress where my “4-inches-heels-wearing-5-foot-11-inches” self couldn’t even see my toes???).

ND IMG_4085

Playing around with trends is always a lot of fun. Personally, I like to incorporate trends in my wardrobe but always aim for two points: 1. will it fit with my current wardrobe and 2. if it’s just a fun piece that I have to have, I don’t want to break the bank. This top here fits the bill perfectly. It has just a hints of ruffle at the sleeves and the stripes are just classic.

I paired my top with this a simple faux leather skirt which has just the right strech to accentuate you “assets” and allow you to walk pefectly (if you’ve ever put on a too tight pencil skirt, you will understand this LOL). Ask anybody who knows me and they will tell you that ASOS is my favorite online store. Why? Well, they understand me plain and simple. As a curvy woman, shopping at any regular store in the mall is difficult. I rarely find things that fit my body perfectly or they don’t have a wide selection of the stylish clothes that I love.

ASOS is my one stop shop and by that I mean they have a wide selection of clothing. Dresses, pants, shirts, jumpers you name it, they have it.  Two important elements with ASOS is that they understand that curvy and plus size women love stylish clothes and their designs are fashionable, current and affordable.JS reEdited IMG_3164

Another crucial element when ordering with ASOS, measure yourself and follow the size chart cause their sizes are in UK measurements, which are different than US size charts.  Once you know your measurement you’ll be fine when ordering.

For this post I decided to wear one of ASOS’ classics which is the wiggle dress. ASOS offers a variety of wiggle dresses, this is a simple classic dress that has a Jackie Kennedy feeling. This dress can be worn to work, for a wedding or any classy event, in other words this dress is a must in your wardrobe.JS Edited IMG_3210

Autumn Prints

GRP IMG_3488

Regardless of season, prints can have a high impact role in any outfit. From a houndstooth scarf, or tweed blazer, to a plaid pant or checked skirt, autumn prints can heat up any outfit keeping you en vogue even when temperatures plummet. The ladies of Fab Four Fashion are excited about sharing  with you the must have autumn prints they are cozying up to this season. Check it out!

GRP IMG_3426

I’m a huge fan of autumn prints. From bold houndstooths to subtle tweeds, you name it, I always find a print to suit my style. But these pants were a game changer! Oh Chile, honey, sugar, “Linda, Linda listen, honey let me tell you!” LOL I have been eyeing these black and white gingham print, high-waisted pants like crazy on my favourite online web site which you are all probably familiar with by now; ASOS.

JS IMG_3863

These black and white pants were originally over $100! I decided to put them on my wish list and patiently waited months for the price to drop, but alas it never did. Then one day, BOOM, my pants were no more! Yep, that’s right folks,  a big sold out sign appeared on this item. I elected to keep them on my wish list because I had faith that the good people of ASOS would not do me like that and would bring my pants back. And bring them back they did. Fortunately for me, a few months later, not only did they bring them back, but they were on sale for$ 23. I pulled out my credit card so fast to purchase these babies!

I was very pleased with the quality and the fit of the pants when they arrived. I know my curvy ladies out there can relate to the struggle I’m referring to when I say that I’m always on the lookout for pants that fit my hips and don’t gape at the back of the waist. Thankfully these pants fit my curves very nicely, and they have an elastic waistband which is perfect for me (I don’t have to worry about exposing my butt crack to the world when I sit down!lol). I also love that I can wear them with a nice huge belt to accentuate my slimmer waist-line.

JS IMG_3925

For this fall look I took the simple route and paired these pants with a figure-hugging turtleneck, and my suede Via Spiga red pumps. My look wouldn’t be complete without this huge silver necklace which takes this outfit to another level of class and sophistication. Since fall is hitting us slowly but surely with its cooler breezes, I added a camel coloured trench coat and my trusty MAC Ruby Woo lipstick for an additional pop of colour.

Nancy’s Look

I have already gushed about the beautiful colors that are synonymous with fall; but can we also talk about the prints? The uber elegant prints along with the great structured pieces are simply to die for. This delicious combination is exactly what drew me to this dress.

ND IMG_3575

This dress fits oh so well and fully embraces my every curve! This dress has actually been dubbed my sexy secretary aka Mad Men dress. What is epitomizes this era is the subtle sexiness. It’s that grown folks kind of sexy! LOL There is no cleavage and no extra leg, but the way that this dress comes together… oh baby… Guaranteed head turner LOL

ND IMG_3607

To keep the chills away, I paired my dress with a mustard colored jacket. This jacket isn’t from a tall line or a tall section, as such, the length of the sleeve is very borderline… Tall girls, you already know what I mean. So I opted to wear it with gloves to camouflage its short comings [pun totally intended LOL].

ND IMG_3659

I rounded out my look with this killer Louis Vitton purse, aviators and what says sexy secretary more than ankle strap pumps! With a look like this, facing autumn chills is a bit more bearable!

Leslie’s Look

Houndstooth, herringbone and tweeds oh my! Talk about being a kid in a candy store when it comes to me and autumn prints! Prints really look great on every woman, and for my slim sisters out there, they have the added benefit of helping to add a bit of volume to an otherwise lean frame. I like to wear prints on my bottom half, whether it be a pant or a skirt, to lend to the illusion of me having a little more junk in the trunk, not to mention it balancing out my broader shoulders.

LT IMG_3706

The British are known for all things tweed and though I may not technically be a Brit, I’m all a dither about tweed. From winter coat to blazers to skirts and slacks, I’ve donned tweed in all its guises.  But this wide leg trouser with it’s large herringbone print simply took my breath away! I had been stalking this pant ever since I had seen it in the Zara Lookbook and I bided my time until it finally appeared on the proverbial shelves!  The length is fantastic for my long legs and allows me to easily rock them with heels and the blousy fit gives me that effortless, relaxed “girl about town” look and feel that I love while still looking pulled together.

LT IMG_3813

Now, if I could insert a drumroll right here, I would, because the next item I will be talking about is well deserving of the pomp and circumstance. Ladies and Gentlemen, I bring to you the coat of my life. So let me give you a little background on this fantastic little gem.

The ladies and I took a little jaunt up to our hometown of Montreal a few weekends ago to check out this new store that has opened in Canada: BESTSELLER! Take note of this name because we know that this store is on its way to becoming an “it” location. Well known throughout Europe, BESTSELLER store locations will be opening in various cities in Canada in the near future and if that city is a city near you, you definitely need  to check them out. This coat made me do a triple –take, accompanied by my heart skipping a beat and my palms getting sweaty!LOL  There may have even been a little drool  (though I’ll never admit to it!LOL)  It reminded me of the style of coat an old school movie gangster would have worn, but with more current lines. The broad navy and grey stripes add the perfect visual interest that I love to rock in my looks and couple with my tweed pants, create an overall  boho meets Brit look I adore.

LT IMG_3763

You know I love my print overload, so I decided to pair this look with my blue and black striped pumps and some fun accessories. So now I’m ready to face those autumn breezes and crisp cool days in perfect autumn prints.

Gail’s Look

Don’t get me wrong, I do love summer but I also enjoy fall.  The leaves changing and the cool winds all signal that its time to pull out warmer clothes in muted colours and prints.  Speaking of prints, that’s the theme for my current look.

GT IMG_4260

I’m loving this houndstooth printed skirt.  It pairs beautifully with this off the shoulder striped top.  Like Leslie I’m all for mixing prints and keeping it interesting!

To keep the cool winds at bay I shrugged on this faux leather jacket, and then completed the look with these comfortable gray pumps and gray embossed leather clutch.

Judy’s Rompers

feature

As I mentioned in my previous individual post, I love my jumpers and always look forward to my next one. So today’s post is about my day romper and my  fabulous night romper.

d - IMG_9827

My Day Romper Look:

I found this cute romper a few seasons ago at Forever 21 in the plus section.  I like this romper because it’s not too short and I can easily walk around in it. You can typically catch me running through the 6 in that type of romper on a hot summer day.

d - IMG_9922

Since I have a very curvy frame, I tend to choose rompers that accentuates my curvy frame. For example, I’m not a huge fan of shapeless, loose rompers because it doesn’t compliment my shape. I’m more into fitted rompers that gives me a nice definition at the waist.

d - IMG_0040

This type of romper comes in very handy when you go on vacation and  I should know because last year I traipsed all over Jamaica in a couple of them.

d - IMG_9876Finally, it is beneficial to have a good tailor this helps a lot especially if the hem of your romper is too shorts.

Night Romper Look:

For my night look I went for my  off-white and black ¾ quarter sleeve printed romper. I can’t say how much this romper gives me life and gets the FAB FOUR FASHION seal of approval every time I wear it!

n - IMG_0127

It is everything I look for in a romper and the length is perfect for me. I love the wrap around belt at the waist, which accentuates my waist and gives me this a smoking silhouette if I do say so myself LOL. This cute romper  has an open back, but I can still wear my bra with an adjustable bra strap without my bra straps showing at the back.

n - IMG_0256

I usually rock this romper with a stiletto sandal or a colorful pump to give me a wow sexy factor for a night out for drinks with my girls.

The next jumper I’m trying to get my hands on is this beautiful culottes jumper, if it works well for me I will report back to you and share my experience with you .

n - IMG_0468

Until then, my curvy sisters don’t’ shy away from jumpers and rompers.   It’s all about what works for your body type and what you are comfortable wearing. There is a world out there of lovely rompers and jumpers for you ladies to try!

Feel free  to share  your experience with us, we want to hear about your rompers and jumpers stories.

White Plus Size Jeans: Day and Night

White Jeans Collage

White jeans, that dreaded item of clothing that full figured women are supposed to stay away from.  I even bought into that notion.  Well, I say nuts to that!  If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it a thousand times, fashion is supposed to be fun and so taking some risks isn’t going to affect the space time continuum.  So, watch as I remix my white skinny jeans for day time play and night slay.

Day Time Chic

For my day time look I wanted to play with different proportions.  I paired my white skinny jeans with a more “boxy” top in fire engine red.

gIMG_3183

gIMG_3160

These jeans have a great deal of stretch which makes them incredibly comfortable and the boxy top ends at just the right spot to offer a little coverage to the tummy area.

gIMG_3319

I finished the look with a hot pink purse, Tiffany necklace, silver wedges and my trusty aviator sunglasses.

Night Time Sizzle

For my night time look, I took it up a notch.  I swapped out my red top for a lace one.  Lace happens to be one of the big summer trends this year.  As I said before, fashion risks are a-okay and rules are meant to be broken.  Gone are the days of plus size women hiding in baggy clothes.

gIMG_3516

I exchanged my silver wedges for royal blue stilettos for a pop of colour.  Last but not least I added dangly earrings and a black & silver box clutch.

gIMG_3392

gIMG_3458

If you’re a little hesistant in only wearing a bra underneath the lace top you could add a body suit instead for a little more coverage.

Skirting The Issue

Skirt

Fab 4 Fashion

Pencils, midis, minis and others in between, we love a cool skirt and all the many ways they can be styled.  They can go from boardroom chic to a relaxed weekend look or to a night out on the town.  Watch as the ladies of Fab Four Fashion show you how they get creative with skirts.

Fab 4 Fashion

Nancy’s Look

Fab 4 Fashion

The temperature is finally creeping up and this only means one thing: We can start showing more skin! This is definitely cause for celebration. It’s time to pull out all our sexy skirts!! Ok, ok, I know that skirts can be worn year round, but there’s something about having your bare legs exposed that is simply awesome!

Fab 4 Fashion

I like all skirts but I love a good pencil skirt. This Hugo Boss skirt is definitely one of my favourites and it makes me feel like a boss (too easy??? lol). I bought this stunner during a trip to Chicago and I was over the moon! I must admit that I loved this skirt so much that I bought it despite the fact that it was too big. That’s when a good tailor comes in handy. I even got to adjust the shape of the skirt to my liking: the bottom was somewhat flared and I got my tailor to turn the skirt into a pencil skirt.

Fab 4 Fashion

When paired with a crisp white shirt, this skirt is perfect for the boardroom. Swap the white shirt out for a tank top, add some bling and you’re ready for drinks with the girls. The length and the fit of the skirt make it office appropriate while the asymmetric leather trim gives it a nice edge making it equally lounge ready.

Gail’s Look

Fashion is supposed to be fun and in this outfit that feeling shows.  I love the idea of mixing prints that at first glance look as though they don’t go together, but in fact do.

Skirt

Although my off-the-shoulder top is a black & white stripe and the skirt is a multicolour print they do have colours in common those being the black & white. The top acts as the perfect backdrop so that my skirt of many colours can really sing!

Skirt

This skirt definitely hugs my curves beautifully.  This summer, and going forward, I’ve decided  to bust through my comfort zone and try clothes that I wouldn’t typically wear, and I encourage you all to do the same!

Skirt

I read somewhere that life begins outside of our comfort zones so why not take the plunge.  I completed my look with fuschia pumps and gold jewelry.

Judy’s Look

The season for wearing skirts without stockings is finally here YAY!  During the Christmas holiday season my Mommy gave me a few of her vintage items. To those who know me, they know that I love remixing vintage items. So after trying a few of my mother‘s vintage clothes, I “inherited” 2 high waist pencil linen skirts – one in yellow and the other  in purple which are perfect for summer. I took the skirts to my tailor to have them nipped in so that they would  fit me perfectly.  Ladies, having a tailor you trust work magic on your clothes can turn a ho hum item of clothing into pure perfection!

Fab 4 Fashion

For our 4 way skirts look I chose to wear the purple linen skirt.  After the adjustment that my tailor made to the skirt,  ohh chile let me tell you … I felt like a true pin-up girl. I  really like that it accentuates my tiny waist and showcases my curves perfectly. This skirt has sentimental value to me since my dear Mommy gave it to me.  I have to wear it well to represent for my Momma in these streets and I might call myself Pin up Girl Judyyyy LOL .

Fab 4 Fashion

To complete my pin up girl look I paired the skirt with a navy blue and white heart shape sleeveless bodysuit. For my accessories I wore a soft pearly flower necklace and some cream and black sandals.

Leslie’s Look

Summer breezes + summer heat x summer sun = loose, comfortable skirts.  Long or short, flared or fitted they are the ideal garment to help combat the heat of summer temperatures so I couldn’t wait to jump into this look!

Skirt

As you can no doubt see from this pleated skirt and matching crop top number, my obsession with prints continues! This beautiful tribal print coordinate set caught my eye at one of my favourite spots, Zara.  I knew I couldn’t rest until I brought it home to meet the rest of the family (my clothes are my children!).

Skirt

Now, I LOVE this outfit and will definitely be wearing it several times to several places over the course of the summer, however, let me tell you all a little secret…the 2 things I would change about this look the next time I rock it:

  1. I would shorten the straps: For us ladies who spent a little too much time perusing the wings, halos, and harps when God was giving out fuller bust lines, if you just shorten the strap a bit, it will enhance the fit. I was just so eager to rock this look, I did not want to wait to have it tailored, but it shall be done (tailoring is king)!
  2. I want the skirt to be a tad bit fuller. I wanted to put crinoline underneath this Zara tribal skirt to give it more volume so the next time I rock it, this is how you will see it! Those of us with a slim silhouette can often afford to add more volume!

Skirt

The above notwithstanding, I still LOVE this look. With heels, with flats, bare foot on the beach with the water gently lapping at my ankles, it all works and makes me feel like Ms Diana Ross in “Mahogany”.
