Some Enchanted Evening

You’ve got a date with the cutie you’ve been crushin on….but what to wear?  The no brainer option is a killer little black dress aka LBD.

GT Edited IMG_8397

The dress is guaranteed to turn your crush’s head.  I picked up this beauty up at SexyPlus Clothing (fitting name isn’t it wink wink).  Owner, Stefanie Augusteijn  outfitted her boutique with great selections from casual pieces like jeans and flowy maxi dresses to drop dead gorgeous stunners like this fitted retro style black dress.

The dress features these ultra-sexy adjustable “harness” style straps that flow from a sweet heart neckline.  The material is sturdy but has loads of stretch so it accentuates my curves beautifully and I’m still comfy as I strike a pose. LOL  I added a belt to further accentuate my waist.

Vanity Fair Part 2

GRP IMG_8660

Allow us to re-introduce ourselves, we have been here almost a year now, constantly giving you fabulous post after post. LOL Well, we know you missed us and we missed you too. It feels good to be posting again after a brief hiatus. Our only suggestion for you, our avid followers, is to stick with us because this year we have so much fun and interesting posts to share with you.

GRP IMG_8517

To start this fabulous blog year in style we give you Vanity Fair Part 2.  Enjoy!

JS IMG_8780

We are baaack from a much needed hiatus but I must say if feels good to be back. This year I’m focused on my evolving style.  I have so many ideas and I can’t wait to share them with all of you.  For my first look of the year I went with this bedazzling two tone sparkly sequin dress. I thought this dress would be perfect for a proper return to the blogging world.

JS IMG_8841

I scored this dress at a store that, until recently, I don’t really go to very often but since I found this gorgeous dress there I will be sure to browse the Reitman’s store and website more often now.  What I love the most about the dress is the 2 tone copper and silver colours. It’s a very short well fitting bodycon dress with very good stretch fabric.

JS IMG_8854

I love this dress so much I intended to get the full use out of it and I have a vision of adding feathers at the bottom to remix it and to add few extra inch to this fabulous dress.

JS IMG_8790

To complete my look I put on my feather jacket, my ankle booties and my Mom’s vintage clutch and I’m ready to slay.

nd IMG_9144Don’t call it a come back! We’ve been here for… one year 🙂 For our first photo shoot post vacay, we decided to don our fav looks which make us feel like we can take over the world. And in doing so, I chose a LRD (that’s a little red dress) that is 100% me!

ND IMG_9005

ND IMG_9020First off, the colour is just divine. As a huge fan of bright colors, this dress had to be on the menu. Second, it’s backless! You already know how I feel about that… lol  I will repeat it for the sake of any new readers: I could spend the rest of my days in a backless anything. The subdued sexiness of an open back is just everything. And third, it shows off my gams! This dress makes me feel all kinds of amazing, which is just what I plan on being in 2016! Stay tuned for more!

New year, new look! We couldn’t wait to get back into the action and share some sexy, sizzling looks with you all.

My look: bold and beautiful! This dress called out to me one day as I was perusing the web (a.k.a. on-line shopping). The pattern, fit and detailing were perfect for my style and shape.

LT IMG_9479

The pattern, coupled with the fit, showed off the curves I have and the scoop back was perfect to hide my bra, but still show off a little skin. I love the length of this dress as well, as it is long enough to make Mama happy, but short enough to let that cutie at a party know I got pretty nice gams!;-)

lt IMG_9622

All I needed to do to complete this look was add a little dangle in the form of these earrings from H&M and some nude shoes that keep the dress the focus of the look.

And just like that I’m ready for cocktails and caviar.

As you all know, I’m all about the faux fur life so essentially I created my outfit around this fabulous fur stole!

GT IMG_9321

What I love about this particular retailer is that they cater to all sizes, regular, petite, tall and plus size!  Amen!

To complete my look I added leopard print slingback kitten heels, and a little bling around my neck.  Oh and of course I’ve basically got the whole world dangly from my hand in the form of a “golden globe” clutch!  So, for 2016 and beyond I’m doing as Queen Bey commanded – I’m in FORMATION and ready to slay ALL DAY! js IMG_8128

I’m the type of girl who usually stays away from black and white outfits however when I find an outfit with the perfect black and white print, I have to jump on it!

js IMG_8411

And I sure did when this beautiful Eloquii dress caught my attention . The dress has the right mix of sexiness and class and it transitions from day  to night time easily. The dress is a form fitting and knee length with a black and white horizon striped pattern with an asymmetrical hem. I heard before that horizon stripes makes you look wider but I’m happy to report that it is not the case with this dress because it accentuates my curves beautifully!

js IMG_8136

I scored this dress a few weeks ago from Eloquii, the premier  online store for plus size and curvy women. I must say their sizing is pretty generous. I could have gone one size down and it would have still fit perfectly.

I highly recommend this dress.  The quality of the material and the construction are phenomenal and it has the right balance of stretch in it too.

js IMG_8445

To complete my winter look I wore black opaque stockings with ankle booties and you already know me, my lipstick is always an important part of my outfit. I will definitely wear this dress again over the winter and in the spring with some cute pumps.

With my new hairdo and my red lipstick I’m ready to SLAY in my Eloquii dress!

Holiday season got you feeling blue whenever you think about what to wear to all those festive events? Well, the ladies of Fab Four Fashion have teamed up with Alloy Apparel & Accessories to showcase some amazing looks to help get you in a more festive mood. Looks full of sparkle and lace, sequins and shine and a whole lot of fire to heat up your holiday! Alloy Apparel & Accessories has a wide collection of pieces for straight and plus size, as well as pieces for those at the taller end of the height spectrum which can fit into your wardrobe for work and play.

Chestnuts roasting on an open fire, Jack Frost nipping at your nose… It’s that time of year again, when the holiday party invitations start rolling in and we ladies run to our closets to find that special something that will put us in a festive mood.

gt IMG_7013

This gorgeous lace dress from Alloy Apparel’s plus size line hits all the right notes.  With its short sleeves and figure hugging silhouette, it’s perfect for that office Christmas party.  Moreover, the length of this dress is spot on for me given I’m on the short side of the height spectrum.  This lovely lace dress also has a little stretch to it as well so it really does hug ones figure wonderfully.

gt IMG_6940

gt IMG_6896

I love the partial open back detail found on the back of the dress so one can show just a bit more skin without being too revealing.  I paired a black moto style jacket with this dress to toughen up the look a bit.  Now I’m ready to sip eggnog and dance the night away!

Judy’s Look:js IMG_7272

With the Holiday season fast approaching, trying to find the perfect holiday outfit to hit those parties in style can be daunting for some. Well we’ve joined forces with Alloy Apparel to showcase a few pieces from their holiday collection, that will make everyone believe you are the Obi-Wan Kenobi of holiday fashion finds!

I’m the type of gal that likes to live on a glam high all year long, and this holiday season is no exception.  My look was all about GLAMOUR, lookking FABULOUS and being BOLD! I present to you Cookie Lyons younger sister, Chanel Lyons (for those who watch Empire I know you get me LMAO). While browsing through the Alloy Apparel website I found this lovely sequins champagne wrap dress. The dress is fully lined with a hemline ending just above the knee. The great thing about Alloy is that they cater to all sizes and you can find most items in straight, tall and plus sizes, and you know Fab Four Fashion loves companies that understand that fashion is for all.

js IMG_7259

One thing I must say, I selected my dress size based on the size chart and was surprised to find that when it arrived I had quite a bit of room to spare.  Therefore one can conclude that for this particular item, Alloy is very generous with their sizing. Works for me, cause I’d rather my dress have a little extra room than be too tight. This is an easy fix, the solution, my fave person, my tailor and voila, problem solved. Alternatively, you can always order a size smaller and with the stretchy material you will be fine.  This dress is gorgeous, a total show stopper and will definitely be a hit during the holiday season.  My tall and plus size babes can all dive into this sassy little number too!

js IMG_7400

To complete my Cookie Lyons’ inspired look, LOL, I chose to wear a spotted faux fur leopard print coat which is simply the business and perfect to wear on those cold winter nights. It’s big and its bold and most importantly it’s warm. To finish off my look I paired the dress with my blush patent pumps and long dangly earrings, and of course, my signature red lipstick muah!!!! Here she is the latest cast member of Empire: Cookie’s younger sister CHANEL LYONS!

For the past couple of weeks, all attention has been on what to wear to parties and rocking the best and fiercest freakum dress. Well what about those dinners with friends, or that get together with family that doesn’t need to be too formal? If you need an outfit for those occasions and your mom’s been begging you to put those jeans away, well here is a great alternative.

nd IMG_7669

This is probably coming to you as no surprise, I went with a sequin number! lol These pants are awesome: simple black jeans in the back and sequins in the front! The jeans half have just the right amount of stretch to ensure great comfort while the front says BAM! Here I am! lol The pants come in 32″ and 37″ inseam which is the perfect length for us long legged ladies. The sizing worked perfectly for me, I consulted the size chart and went with the size closest to my measurements. They have a snug fit but don’t dig in – none of that dreaded muffin top here!

nd IMG_7578

Wanting to mix my materials, I paired my pants with Alloy’s Caroline Lace Zip Back Blouse. I wanted my look to be more on the sassy side so underneath my lace top I wore a tube top with a sweetheart neckline. If you prefer more coverage, you can easily wear the top with a camisole. It has an interesting back, boasting an exposed zipper and fly away back detail. This is another piece that will get many wears in many different settings.

Thanks to the good folks at Alloy Apparel, you now have a great option for those informal affairs where you still want to dazzle!

The holiday season is upon us, and I for one have already been making merry at a few holiday shindigs so far! I’ve done the requisite work lunch with the colleagues, the after work dinner with friends (thanks Erum for organizing) and that oh so necessary ugly sweater party (Efua and Chris great party)!  But you always need to have a sexy little number to wear out for that special holiday event. Whether it be that fancy holiday party your significant other invited you to, or heading out to the club for a night out to shake what your mama gave you, you need to have a special piece in your holiday clothing arsenal to fit the bill. This dress, courtesy of Alloy Apparel & Accessories is my not so secret weapon.

LT IMG_6292 re edited

This dress has all the sparkle a girl could ask for without being over the top, with the elegant colour combination of black and gold to lend that air of sophistication. This is a great piece because it is so versatile. Let me tell you how I plan to rock it now, and how I plan to remix it for the future.

So first of all, I’m rocking this dress backwards, yes, backwards. For those of us ladies with a very small bust-line, we often don’t want to wear garments that draws attention to our lack of large “lady lumps”. LOL  As such, wearing this dress with the front, to the back, raises the neckline, while adding a little exposure at the back.

LT IMG_6633

The long slit on the side adds just the right amount of subtle sexiness to the dress to give people a little peep without giving away the whole show, and showing off those long gams. Now for how to keep this dress fresh and new for future events. First, I just know this dress would work fabulously as a mini! After a few wears, I plan to take it on a little trip to the tailor to take the length, up, up, up! For women on the taller side this would be an awesome option for you if the maxi length just doesn’t hit the mark.

LT IMG_6618 re edited

Second wardrobe remix I plan to do with this dress is rock it as a top! A hot leather black pencil skirt would look phenominal withthis dress (a.k.a. top). The lesson here is to think outside the box when it comes to your wardrobe pieces.

One last tip ladies, if you decide this sexy number must come home with you, try going down one size. I’m actually wearing one size smaller than my actual size and it’s just a tiny bit big, but nothing that a tiny nip and tuck won’t fix. Take your measurements, consult the size guide and go one down a size with this one.

Now I’m ready to hit the next holiday bash! I love this time of year and I’m soaking it all in: the fashion, the fun and the festive hum in the air…cause its the most wonderful time of the year!

OH MY GOSH – PURCHASE – those are the words I uttered when I laid eyes on this faux fur coat wonder!  So, of course I immediately retrieved my credit card to make this coat mine.  Ask any of the other ladies of Fab Four Fashion and they will tell you that I’m OBSESSED with faux fur right now.  The different colours and styles they’ve been fashioned into has just had me salivating!

gt IMG_5530

In this coat I imagine myself as Dominique Deveraux seen here in the 80s night time tv drama – Dynasty.  I saunter about like a glama jama unicorn cause no one’s got anything on me, when I’m wearing this coat. Basically, what I’m saying is that I’m a BOSS! LOL

gt IMG_5568

gt IMG_5591

By now you’ve probably guessed that I built this outfit around the coat. LOL  I paired the coat with this nude coloured dress.  Its got great sparkle on the shoulders and a cute peplum at the waist.  I also love that it hits me just a smidge above my knee and folks I didn’t have to pay a trip to the tailor to achieve that – and that my friends, almost never happens.

This dress would be ideal for an office Christmas party as its chic, polished with just the right amount of sparkle.

Flawless: RUE107

js IMG_1743

Fab Four Fashion is all about women supporting women. When the opportunity presented itself for us to work with the company Rue107, we jumped on it. The force behind Rue 107 is called Marie Jean-Baptiste, a Haitian sister doing her thang with her beautiful colourful designs.  Being Haitian myself, it’s always nice to see one of your own doing well and achieving their goals!

js IMG_1557

Rue 107 is a brand which represents a sexy, confident, and bold woman.  It’s all about embracing your curves and not being scared to flaunt them. They also understand that all women deserve to be dressed in style so they cater to women sizes small to 3X.

The good people at Rue 107 were kind enough to send me extra piece to showcase for them. I didn’t know what to expect so I waited patiently and received this bodycon poppy printed dress and a 2 piece bathing suit.

js IMG_1615

I was a bit nervous when I saw the print because it is rather large and it was a departure of my usually attire. However, my reservations were put to rest once I tried it on.  I pranced and twirled around in my apartment, flaunting my stuff  and of course looking at myself from every angle in the mirror.  The dress fit perfectly and the stretch material is a very good quality so it hugged me in all the right places. This poppy print with off the shoulder ruffle top is in your face and screams I’m here and you are going to RESPECT ME! LOL

js IMG_1633

Of course you already know by now that I’m a huge fan of midi length bodycons and this dress is precisely that.  This dress very flirty and makes me ready to partay!!!!  I wore it with a nice pair of cage black sandals and my biker leather jacket. To accessorize my look I wore a pair of long silver earrings and my beaded black and white clutch.

This dress is for my sexy ladies who dare to be different and are not afraid to try something new.  So remember to have fun ladies cause fashion is about expressing yourself.

js IMG_1651

Now let me tell you about this fabulous 2 piece bathing suit. I remember when the good people of Rue107 asked me if I would be comfortable wearing a bathing suit and I responded hell yes!!!! Then I sat back I thought about my decision like oh no what have I done.  Thoughts came to my head, as I was very nervous and apprehensive. Posing in a bathing suit  is out of my comfort zone, but I‘m a firm believer in facing fears and breaking barriers.

When I opened the package I immediately fell in love with the beautiful wrap around bathing suit that came in fabulous tribal print. The bottom part was a bit small and I was scared that it would not fit my behind. I went home to try it on and I couldn’t stop smiling!  I was very shocked that the bottom part fit so well.  The material used for this 2 piece suit is very impressive and the bottom part fit me so well that I doesn’t feel tight and doesn’t cause any bulging, nor does it ride up my derriere.

js IMG_1664

The bra top fit me perfectly and offers me very good coverage plus the tribal print is fun and flirty. I can definitely say with confidence that I feel comfortable in this 2 piece bathing suit and I love love love the print.  I will definitively pack it for my upcoming trip to the Caribbean.

js IMG_1850

What I also love is that the top is very practical, it can be worn as a top with a cute pair of shorts or with a nice skirt, which I’m planning on doing on vacation.   Bottom line this bathing suit gives me comfort and sexiness at the same time and I’m here for it.

js IMG_1793

I took a leap of faith by revealing myself in this sexy bathing suit and I’m ready to conquer! Thank you Rue107.

Taylor Jay Collection

GRP IMG_8498

One of the many things the ladies of Fab Four Fashion believe and embrace is the movement of women supporting women. So one can only imagine when the ladies were offered the opportunity to work with fabulous designer Taylor Jay, they of course jumped on it. Let me tell you, Taylor Jay’s creations are not only remarkable, but they are clothing that can easily translate into pieces of art, and our bodies the canvas bringing them to life

GRP IMG_8407

While her creations are simple, there is an element of flair, elegance and beauty to each piece. In the words of Taylor Jay, “Versatility is our Threads”. Indeed, as a designer, she understands that most women want to be comfortable in their clothes. Her pieces are timeless, and she caters to both straight-sized and plus sized women alike!

Nancy’s Look

I have to start this by saying a big THANK YOU to the good folks at Instagram – were it not for them, I would have missed out on the wonder that is Taylor Jay! Judy was the one who tagged us on her page and each post was more amazing than the next. So when she reached out saying that she wanted to work with us, I was absolutely elated.

ND IMG_8836

Taylor Jay understands women’s bodies. As a true artist, she is able to picture what fits best on our bodies – whatever shape said bodies come in! I truly appreciate designers that are able to cater to all women as there is beauty in all of us.  We provided Taylor  with our measurements and she made magic. She provided us all with various iterations of the ‘London’ and they are all superb.

ND IMG_8790

For my version of the London, Taylor offered me the jumpsuit. She must be a mind reader as this is my all time favorite silhouette! This piece has all the key elements of a winning jumpsuit. Exhibit A: It has a great neckline. The cowl neck allows you to be as naughty or as nice as you’d like!  Exhibit B: It has pockets! Let’s face it, pockets are great on everything, especially on pieces where you don’t necessarily expect them. Exhibit C: The perfect length! I submitted my measurements and voila! The perfect piece at the perfect length was created.

ND IMG_8722

Another element that I love about this piece is the material. It’s very forgiving and oh so flattering. It has great movement and simply dances on one’s body. The sheen adds a touch of elegance to the garment in every color.  Speaking of the colors, they are all so rich! They navy is to die for. It’s as if I was wearing liquid sapphire, so regal! I kept my silver accessories to a minimum as I wanted to let the piece shine! This jumpsuit is certainly a great addition to my wardrobe and will get many wears!

ND IMG_8809

Leslie’s Look

Sexy, sassy, sensual!!!! Those are the three words I would use to describe the way I feel in this Taylor Jay Collection dress! Catering to all sizes, Taylor Jay got it all right with this sassy little number.

LT IMG_8944

Talk about the marrying of colour, style and elegance, this silver, shimmery dress made from a nylon spandex mix falls so beautifully over my slim frame.  The flirty hem lends to the look of my having an even curvier silhouette which I know we slim girls can fully appreciate!

LT IMG_8886

I love the ties at the waist that allow me to cinch my waist-line as tightly (or loosely) as I like, and adds an additional accent to the dress. I opted to do a simple knot and allow the ties to fall, but it would have looked equally fierce had I tied it in a sweet bow! The deep wrap v-neck line of this dress adds the “v” in va-va-voom without revealing any of Victoria’s Secrets and gives the illusion of a longer neck-line.

LT IMG_9023

Me being me, I needed to add a bit of that “Leslie edginess” to this sweet and sassy dress. While we know this dress would look amazing with some sexy dressy sandals or some grey snake print pumps, I wanted to up the funk factor and rock it with my sexy thigh-high suede boots!

To this I then added a black moto style leather jacket and the funk factor soared off the charts!

Accessories are a cinch with such a beautiful dress with the shimmery effect of the material. I decided to rock a long silver necklace that I kept tucked into the neck line and a bold cuff and simple earrings and tah-dah, I’m ready to take on the big bad city!

LT IMG_8980

My plus size perfect ladies need not fear because Taylor Jay Collection caters to ALL SIZES!!! You gotta love it!!!

Gail’s Look

Let me tell you this Taylor Jay Collection dress called the London is EVERYTHING and a bag of chips! LOL We discovered Ms. Jay’s collection on instagram and fell instantly in love.

GT IMG_9494

This particular dress was specifically selected for me by Ms. Jay and she definitely got it right. The dress is made of nylon and spandex but the cut is what gives this dress all the va va voom I love. And the olive green colour is to die for as well!

The cowl neck design flatters one’s bust line, be it big or small, beautifully while the wide attached belt cinches me in at the waist and offers another facet of visual appeal.

GT IMG_9513

As I’ve mentioned in previous posts, it’s very important to consult an online retailer’s size guide so as to avoid disappointment by purchasing the wrong size.  When reviewing the Taylor Jay size chart, the collection goes up to size 18-20.  As a size 20-22, I would logically conclude that perhaps this collection was not for me…but I would be missing out.  Since the garments have a lot of stretch and the cuts are superb I easily and comfortably fit into the London dress.  And that is what is so refreshing about Ms. Jay’s garments.  This collection compliments different body types beautifully!

GT IMG_9476

Therefore for me, the essential formula for fashion magic is:

Cut + Colour + Style = Fashion Magic

JS IMG_9289

While looking on the “Popular Page” on Instagram, this beautiful picture caught my attention. What came next felt like a fairy tale story to me , what drew me to this picture is the  beautiful composition; it was perfect. I was blown away when I saw this gorgeous model named @analabelle on Instagram wearing this beautiful blush and olive ensemble. I immediately clicked on the picture to find out who this was and what designer she was wearing, and there in black and white was written Shop Taylor Jay.

Curious by nature, it didn’t take me long to go through the Shop Taylor Jay page and discover her fabulous creations – OMG! I tagged my girls on some of her pictures and left a few (possibly a lot) of comments. What I love the most is that her creations cater to all women!

JS IMG_9096

The ladies and I were fortunate enough to have Taylor Jay design each of us a beautiful piece based on our individual body types. I was very pleased with the final result! She gave me the “London Deep Pocket Dress” with its A-line, sleeveless style in the olive color. While I admit I rarely wear olive coloured clothing LOL, I’m officially a convert to this beautiful colour and what it does for my complexion. Now that I’ve been shown the truth, I will definitely be trying to incorporate more olive color clothing into my wardrobe.

When I received my dress I couldn’t wait to take it out of the packaging! I was astonished and pleased at how well made it was not to mention the material being so soft and silky. A major plus about this dress is that it comes in a solid, stretchy material which fits my body very nicely.

JS IMG_9168

The olive color complements my skin tone very well, and I really love the deep pockets and wide attached waist belt. You can get creative with the belt and tie it in the way that you feel best suits your style and body. I’m a real sucker for comfortable clothes and most of all versatile pieces like this dress. I can wear this dress to attend a Sunday afternoon wedding with heels since the dress is very long, or I can dress it down with nice flat sandals on vacation somewhere near a beach. This dress comes in various Fall colors so now would be the perfect time to get your hands on one!

I simply love this dress and think you will too! Check out some of the other Taylor Jay creations on her site (address at the end of this post). I’m pretty sure you ladies will all find something you’ll love and that will suit your body.

I can’t wait to see what she’s got cooking for 2016.

Pink Clubwear Part 2: Coming Up Floral

PC2gt IMG_3032

I am still loving the trendy plus size fashions from Pink Clubwear that I had to come back at you with a little more dress goodness!  As mentioned in our previous post, Pink Clubwear offers trendy, fashion forward plus size clothing online at a very affordable price.  They also ship world wide so everyone can get in on the action!

PC2gt IMG_2340

I love the white and blue floral pattern of this body con strapless dress that I got in a size 3X.  It’s incredibly comfortable and I imagine myself wearing this outfit to a wedding reception or bridal shower.

As we mentioned in a previous post, please consult Pink Clubwear’s size chart to make sure the size you order matches up with your measurements.

With a body conscious dress like this one, what you wear underneath is just as important as the complete look itself.  I always make sure to wear the proper fitting undergarments (bra and shapewear) so that I have a smooth and polished look.

This dress was incredibly comfortable and well priced too! I paired it with this cream coloured cropped jacket for a little extra coverage should the evening get cool.

As always I have to have a little frosting in the form of jewelry to complete my looks.  Here, I borrowed this beautiful necklace from my sister Leslie (thanks LT) and dainty pearl stud earrings.  A little frosting about my wrists and of course a clutch to hold all my bits and bobs and I’m good to go!

Fall Lookbook Part 2

IMG_0321 Edited Group kiki

The 70s! The era of the Jackson Five, flared pants, the Jeffersons and funk music. Fashion-wise, the 70s was an era that brought bold colour and daring prints to another level. This era is back in full force on the runways this season and we just couldn’t resist creating the perfect post to showcase these looks. Get ready for the Soul Train line of fashion – the way only Fab Four Fashion knows how to do it.

Leslie’s Look

I am so feeling the 70s as some of you may recall from the post I did on this awesome trend seen here!! I love the muted colours the funky prints and of course the mega mini’s. This is one of the trends I was more than eager to jump into for our Fab Four fall foray into this decades modern day inspirations.

IMG_0398 Edited Leslie

This dress speaks to me on so many levels. The mod-ish lines, the muted colours and print and, of course, the mega mini lenth that shows off my gams to perfection are all elements that drew me to this piece! I think every woman should know how to incorporate just the right amount of sexy into a look. Sometimes it’s wearing something figure hugging, sometimes showing a little decolletage, sometimes showing a little (or not so little), leg. I like trying to go for one of these characteristics in each outfit I put together, rather than incorporating them all into one look, and as you can see, my  legs got to take top billing for this look!

IMG_0475 Edited Leslie

To keep me warm on those cooler fall days, I paird this dress with one of my trusty sleeveless coats in a muted colour. It lends an effortless elegant yet relaxed feel to this look that I just love and adds a layer of warmth since, I gotta be real,  I am always cold!LOL  This piece is also great, since it can easily be remixed with so many other pieces in my wardrobe which is something I’m always looking for.

IMG_0412 Edited Leslie

Ladies, let me tell you, if there is only one thing you decide to really invest in this season, let it be a great neutral coloured, knee high boot! I have had these boots which I simply ADORE since 2000! You indeed read correctly; I bought them in 2000! Yes, ladies, I’ve had them for 15 years and am still rocking them! Now, admittedly, I don’t wear them every day and have taken good care of them, but talk about getting a tremendous return on investment! The colour is neutral enough to go with just about everything, and from one fall/winter season to the next, they continue to be a wardrobe staple!

So someone grab the record player…or should it be an eight-track player…and let’s get our 70’s groove on baby!!!!

Gail’s Look

70s looks dominated the runways for fall and I can certainly understand why.  Think Bianca Jagger’s cool white pants suit or Donna Summer’s sexy sequined outfits – now imagine these looks revamped for today’s sensibilities and you’ve got magic!

IMG_0714 Edited GT

I went for a bold graphic striped print in the form of this dress as seen in so many runway shows for fall.  I just love the pattern and colour combination.  This dress is the ultimate in comfort and flows beautifully over my curves.  I paired this sleeveless dress with this faux leather jacket which works for the unpredictable weather found in fall.  In one day it can go from sunny and blue skies to over cast and breezy.

IMG_0745 Edited GT

To complete my look I went for these 70s inspired aviator sunglasses and big bold hoop earrings.  I feel like Foxy Brown, the character legendary actress Pam Grier made so famous in the 70s.

Last but not least is my tri coloured vintage leather hobo bag borrowed from my mama and these cognac coloured pumps.  Friends I’m now ready to strut and fluff my fro and shake my shake my groove thing!

Judy’s Look

IMG_0564 Edited Judy

I‘ve always been a fan of 70’s trends, so it’s quite fitting that we decided to do a post about this era.  My 70s look is inspired by the hit show Charlie’s Angels. I wore my long sleeved dress with a tie-neck collar, and paired it with a faux fur vest to give a little extra oomph to my look.

IMG_0654 Edited Judy

I scored this dress two seasons ago at Suzy Shier at a great price. This dress has a 70’s inspired graphic pattern with colours like burnt orange, black and brown. To complete my look I wore my over the knee leather boots. I got these fabulous boots from Target last year from the Altuzzarra collection. Big feet women of the world, I know you understand me when I say the struggle is real, so when you find your shoe size on the shelf trust and believe you jump on it. LOL That was my story, I saw the last pair of  size 11 boots on the shelf and I pounced on them so fast I didn’t even look at the price tag.

IMG_0516 Edited Judy

Sadly, Target closed its doors a few months ago here in Canada, however I’m glad I was able to score these fabulous boots while they were here.

My look wouldn’t be complete without my Twiggy inspired sunglasses ( a gift from my little sister) and my signature red lipstick.

Nancy’s Look

¨I’m Foxy Cleopatra, and I’m a WHOLE lot of woman!¨ This single sentence takes me to a time when everything was grooovy! LOL The 70s comes with a slew of cult classics, timeless music and fashion that keeps on giving. I love how fashion from the 70s keeps on reappearing in different forms. This fall is no exception.

IMG_0942 Edited Nancy

For me, what’s most important is to prevent these blasts from the past from being too ¨costumey¨. What I mean by that is that, while the inspiration can clearly be seen, current cuts are a must. This is why I absolutely love this skirt. Pencil skirts are always a must and are flattering on all body types. The 70s influence came in the form of the stripes and the front slit. The colour combination is what actually first drew me to the skirt.

IMG_0841 Edited Nancy

I paired my skirt with a black ¨wrap top¨. I used quotations here because this, ¨top¨ is actually a draped open front cardigan that I am wearing as a top. Do we notice a trend here? Always staying to true to my ‘clothes-remixing’ self!

IMG_0833 Edited Nancy

The skirt is definitely the star of the outfit for me, however, these boots do get an honourable mention! I got them many moons ago at Long Tall Sally. I eyed them for what seemed like an eternity and bought them as soon as they were on sale (Shout out to Angelica, the most awesome LTS saleslady ever who kept her finger on the price pulse along with me!!!). They are chic and comfortable. What else could I ask for!

Pink Clubwear Part 1

We the ladies of Fab Four Fashion believe that every woman should own at least one sexy black dress. Gail and Judy decided to do a collabo with Pink Clubwear to showcase some of the beautiful black dresses they have for the curvy sexy plus size woman. We don’t think you will be ready for the level of elegance, class and sexiness they bring.  This is where Dorothy Dandridge 2.0 meets Black Betty Boop!

Judy’s Look

Starting a fashion Blog with my girls was one of the most exciting things that could ever happen to me this year.

IMG_0110 Pink Clubwear Judy Redited

When Pink Clubwear approached Fab Four Fashion to do a collaboration I was over the moon and thrilled.  After browsing their site I was excited to see that they had so many fun and daring pieces for curvy girls like me along with regular sizes!

IMG_0117 Judy Redited Pink Clubwear

While looking through their website I happened across this simple but beautiful little black dress that gives off an air of old Hollywood Dorothy Dandridge glam. This dress is the perfect little number for my curvy frame as it fits my body like a glove and hugs me in all the right places. I also love the little cap sleeves and the ruffle hem that just adds even more flirty femininity!

IMG_0049 Edited Judy Pink Clubwear

I must admit, I was a bit sceptical about what the quality of the dress might be like when I first saw the price. However, though I can only speak from my own experience, I found this dress to be good quality and that the stretchy material cinched everything in place.  I was also pleased to note that the material doesn’t lose its shape after you wear it. Another good thing is that the dress fit true to its size. So if you are planning on ordering please read the size chart and order accordingly to avoid disappointment.

Playing dress up is always fun for me, therefore I decided to bring you a little Dorothy Dandridge flavour. I wore a blingy choker style necklace that I found on eBay.  To add a little color I wore my pink, black and white 5 inch heels from ASOS. The last piece to complete my look was the flowers. Yup, I put some flowers in my hair to recreate the LIFE magazine cover Dorothy Dandridge was featured on for her portrayal in the movie Carmen Jones. If you have no clue what I’m talking about Google it! LOL

This dress from Pink Clubwear hits the mark!  Its form fitting shape hugs my curves in all the right places.  The added lace detail across the top of the dress adds a little elegance and daintiness and balances out the va va voom of this curve hugging dress.  I was definitely channeling some Betty Boop flava! LOL
