Judy’s LookJS IMG_8521

Old Navy is a store filled with hidden treasures. When I look at their window displays, I’m never quite sure they’ll have something for me, but as soon as I step inside I always find one or two pieces just waiting for me to grab lol .
JS IMG_8472

A few months ago I went there looking for sweat pants.  Well imagine my surprise, when I saw this fantastic dark blue and beige printed coat; my jaw dropped I couldn’t believe it. I grabbed it up immediately and tried it on on the spot.  Then I proceeded to the cash register and the sales associate informed me that this new coat was on sale for $29. Can I get an Amen for this awesome price! (you know that this sister loves a good sale!LOL)
JS IMG_8550

I love the fact that this coat is so versatile and that I can create multiple looks with it.  Another plus is that the jacket comes from XS to XXL, so all my sisters can benefit!

For this look I went for a professional and tailored feel.  I wore a dressy white shirt with a black tie, and a simple black leather pencil skirt because I wanted the emphasis to be on the jacket. To complete my look, I wore dark red wine coloured suede pumps and added a dark red wine coloured clutch. Lastly, to bring an extra touch of pizazz to my coat, because I’m fancy like that, I added a fur collar.

Leslie’s Look

Spring is finally here ladies, and while I’m not one to adhere to the old adage of wearing white only between the prescribed period of Easter and Labour Day, I gotta admit, I do relish whipping out an all-white outfit, not just for an all white party (I do love a good fete though), but just for a day, or night out with my besties!

LT IMG_8652

We love when we can find retailers that cater to women of all sizes, and we cannot forget the affordable choices. I love to rock a high-low outfit, where I pair a more expensive piece with a piece at a lower price point and Old Navy offers some amazing affordable options.

LT IMG_8777

I wanted a look that said effortless cool and this outfit says that to me. I love this sweater which adds some texture to the look. I wanted it to have an oversized feel to it, so I took an “XL” and slouched it over one shoulder. Then I slid into these skinny jeans and threw on a printed blazer to add a little print to the look.

LT IMG_8620

To accessorize my look, I added a gold belt, gold earrings and bangles, and these gorgeous gold sandals that I simply adore.

So hears to Old Navy, keeping stylish looks affordable and fun for women of all body types.

Casually chic at an affordable price perfectly describes Old Navy to me.  Here again, we have another retailer that offers fun affordable clothes for everyone no matter our size.  So basically, Old Navy’s got your back!GT IMG_8441

I love this particular look.  It’s easy breezy and super comfortable while still looking pulled together.

The starting point for creating this look were these printed drawstring pants.  I love the print and cut of these pants and of course they’re incredibly comfortable.

To keep cool spring breezes at bay, while out and about, I added this denim jacket.  I rolled up the sleeves just to “juge” the look a little bit. LOLGT IMG_8434

GT IMG_8447

For a pop of colour I added these faux suede yellow heels from ASOS that are beyond comfy.  I’m now ready to take on some serious shopping!GT IMG_8425

Old Navy is one of those brands that can always surprise you. They have the foundational piece game down pack but every now and then, they will have the perfectly printed romper or pants that you just have to have.

ND IMG_8266Also, I love that they are incorporating pieces for the petite, plus and tall women. I dream of the day where this will be a norm for every single retailer, but until then, I will cherish the ones that do!

ND IMG_8277

With all this said, this look is centered around these cool joggers which I got from the men’s department! And I love ’em! I already know that I will dress them up and down to my heart’s content!

For this look, I kept it casual cute with a simple tank top, biker jacket and high heels for my daily dose of a colourful pop.

Business Casual

GRP IMG_0009 (1)

What does Business Causal means to you? Well as per google, business casual means relating to or denoting a style of clothing that is less formal than traditional business wear, but is still intended to give a professional and businesslike impression.   For FabFour Fashion Business Casual means casually dressed with style and flare. LOL if you don’t believe it scroll down and see for yourself.GRP IMG_9862

Although I work in a rather corporate environment, thankfully we do have casual fridays where we employees have the pleasure of dressing down while still looking pulled together.GT IMG_0273

GT IMG_0358

The basis of my business casual look were these white jeans and the royal blue waterfall collar vest.  I find that the vest smartens up the outfit making the whole look seem very pulled together.GT IMG_0337

GT IMG_0390

I added my favourite made to measure check shirt from Sumissura.  I love where it hits me so that I don’t have to tuck it in but still look boardroom chic!  The finishing touch is my beloved Kate Spade bag.

ND IMG_0033I work in a corporate environment, so when we have meetings I definitely need to suit it up. But in general, our office dress code is very relaxed. Of course, regardless of the setting, I still have to do me and come correct!ND IMG_0219

I scored these amazing crop pants on J. Crew. The fit is just perfect and I just love the leather trim. I have to say a big thank you to the good folks at J. Crew for offering some tall options! This means that these pants were indeed meant to be crop… Tall women everywhere will understand LOL. Also, I don’t have the dreaded gaping at the waist, so no tailoring necessary!ND IMG_0191

Then I added this leather jacket that I am wearing as a top – by now, you all know that I live for multi purpose clothing! The jacket comes with hooks to allow you to secure the lapel and wear it as a top. I finished my look with my fuchsia pumps.

This look easily translates to after work play, but before then, gotta take care of bid-nass!ND IMG_9993

I have been fortunate to work in a place that allows their employees to wear business casual on Fridays but you already know your girl Judy still brings it LOL. I love that business casual attire allows you to still be dressy-professional but more laid back.JS IMG_9836

For me business casual is more of a khaki, polo or jeans, for my business casual look I opted for a simple stripey grey, blue, and orange shirt with my pleated black leather at the knee skirt. This look is still professional and quite cute for an after work outing with my Fab Four Fashion ladies.JS IMG_9770

To emphasize my stripe shirt I wore my suede dark Ivanka Trump pumps with my mix leather and suede dark wine clutch.JS IMG_9668

The infamous phrase “You should dress for the job you want, not the job you have” is a rule I like to live by.  So even when I’m doing casual looks, I still try to dress it up a notch. That’s definitely not to say that you won’t catch me in jeans, I love my dungarees, but I like a good business casual look.

LT IMG_9765

I’m still feeling that vintage vibe so I wanted to rock a look that made me feel it from head to toe. So I went with a look that makes me feel like I’d fit right into a modern day episode of the Jefferson’s! The tie neck blouse is perfect for the office and can give off that sexy secretary look and works well with a ton of other pieces in my wardrobe.

LT IMG_9796

For this look, I opted to pair my tie neck blouse with rust coloured culottes further emphasizing the throwback feel and these beige coloured boots that are in line with the simple colour palette and the overall look.

I kept the accessories to a minimum by wearing simple earrings and with that I’m ready for the office!

Sumissura Blazer Edition

Group Edited Sumissura IMG_0428

We have covered pants, and shirts, but blazers are also a wardrobe staple that every woman should own. When perfectly tailored, this single garment can have you covered for a multitude of settings. However, those longer arms or that larger bust can make finding that perfectly tailored blazer mission impossible. Wouldn’t it be neat if you could just go to one place and find a blazer with an awesome fit that comes in a myriad of colors and customizable details? Well search no longer, Sumissura to the rescue!

Blazers are such a must have but finding the perfect one is a PAIN! That is why Sumissura is such a life saver. You get a quality garment which fits well at an affordable price. Plus, the options are truly endless so everyone is sure to find something that tickles their fancy.

ND Edited Sumissura IMG_1110

As mentioned in our Sumissura shirt review, using their website is really easy. The system prompts you to enter your measurements, even showing a picture of how to adequately take those measurements. By inputting your height and weight, the software provides “suggested measurements” and if you enter a measurement that seems off, you get an error message.

Needless to say that my blazer fits perfectly and yes tall girls, this means that the sleeves are LONG! Let us take a moment of silence for long sleeves that are actually long! What a noble concept!

ND Edited Sumissura IMG_1178

I decided to go with a peak lapel, double breasted four button blazer. I wanted  a nice jewel color so I decided to go with an emerald green (“Robin Hood” on sumissura.com). So while I was thrilled to see this rich color, my husband noted that it looked like I had won the Masters (google PGA green jacket… LOL) So while I was glad that I looked like a winner, I had to style it so that I could shake off the golf reference.

I paired my blazer with a fun two toned pleated skirt. I accessorized my look with simple gold accessories and had to steal one of my hubby’s pocket squares. I added a fun pom pom button and finished my look with some striped pumps.

The watch words for my look were fit, flare, fashionable geek chic! Sumissura has hit another home run for me when it comes to providing a fashionable look, with a fit that speaks of quality bespoke tailoring.  No need for the big “post purchase production” of lengthening sleeves and taking in waistlines for us slim girls! (Let’s have a momentary pause for a happy dance!)

PM-LT Edited Sumissura IMG_0696

True to form with Sumissura, I had the opportunity to jump into the designers seat and style my jacket to my personalized specifications, taking into account everything from the fit (i.e. straight cut or slim fit); the length of the jacket, whether I wanted it double or single breasted, one button or two, the style of the collar and on and on and on! My favourite part was selecting the  material and print! I knew I had landed on a winner when I came across this beautiful print reminiscent of classic British tweeds and plaids.

LT Edited Sumissura IMG_0518

I wanted my look to have a neutral   base with some punches of color to add a little pizzazz. Since I simply love blues I selected this blue striped shirt to add that pop of colour, along with some blue in my pocket square and these black and blue striped shoes!

Sumissura has a great selection of materials available for you to choose from.  I went with a short berry coloured velvet blazer with cut away hem in the front.  I was even able to choose the interior lining for my jacket as well.  Since I had saved my measurements when I had my blue check shirt made, I merely re-selected those numbers and I was good to go.

GT Edited Sumissura IMG_1292

Once again, the shipping was lightening quick!  In about a week I was able to slip into my tailor made jacket and the fit was on point!

We all know that blazers are definitely a wardrobe staple but often times it’s so difficult to find an affordable one off the rack that fits perfectly or as close to perfect as possible.  That’s what’s so wonderful with Sumissura’s service. They allow you to have a custom made blazer at an affordable price!  I call that a win – win situation!

Well it’s not surprising that we are collaborating again with Sumissura. We had such a great experience working with them the first time that we just had to do it all over again. This time around we are featuring their fabulous Blazers.

For this collaboration I chose a black velvet blazer. You may probably be wondering why velvet? Well, I had a vision of glam and a bit of Janelle Monae. I have to admit I’m not typically the biggest fan of velvet, however when a velvet fashion garment is rocked well, I’m here for it.

Judy Edited Sumissura IMG_0767

Again, I cannot stress enough how easy the Sumissura website is to navigate. You can select everything from the material to be used, to the shape, fit and detailing of your blazer.  And the great thing with their website is that when you register and enter your measurements the first time you place an order, their system automatically saves it for the next time you visit the site! How awesome is that!

JS Edited Sumissura IMG_0867

For this look I went with a simple black and white colour palette. I elected to wear my blazer with no shirt underneath and a big statement necklace to bring life to my outfit. To complete my look I wore my 3/4 black and white gingham print pants which I wore last year for the Autumn Prints Post. To add a little bit of pizzazz to my outfit I wore my Ivanka trump dark wine suede pumps and a nice beaded velvet clutch.

Sumissura

Quality foundation pieces are an integral part of any woman’s closet. They are literally the building blocks of a well rounded wardrobe; and a beautifully tailored, made to measure shirt is an excellent element to elevate that simple casual look, add flare to that business suit, or polish to those weekend boyfriend jeans.

Sumissura has the magic touch when it comes to made to measure, stylish shirts for women of all sizes! Pick your favourite style of shirt, favourite print and fabric, input your measurements and you’re on your way! See what the ladies of Fab Four cooked up when we stepped into the proverbial Sumissura kitchen!

Judy’s Look

I always get excited when I hear about Gail’s latest finds! This time she struck gold with this company that makes customized shirts and suits.

js IMG_3724

When I went to their website I was stunned to see the extent of the variety and selection they had to offer. I knew Fab Four Fashion and Summissura would make magic together!

Designing my shirt took some time because I just couldn’t make up my mind (too many choices!LOL) I was so impressed with the way the customization process is set out.  Once you’ve made a selection, style of shirt for example, you then see it reflected on the screen, like dressing up a mannequin (how cool is that?!).  The customizable features are exhaustive. You can choose the style of sleeve, fit, hemline, collar style, cuff style, the fabric and little added accents to make your shirt oh so unique.

js IMG_3697

Oh and let me tell you about their on point and accurate sizing system.  All you need do is enter a few of your measurements along with your height and you are then provided with an approximate calculation of your full measurements. I must say they are quite accurate. One added bonus is that if you are curvy and have a larger bust or a little tummy, this is factored in when designing the shirt to ensure great lines and a comfortable, tailor made fit.

After an extensive deliberation between 3 styles, I elected to go with this nice slim fit, long sleeve button-down shirt with a polka dot pattern in brown, yellow and grey. I must say I am very happy with the end result.

I can wear it to work, to brunch with the girls, or dress it up or down to suit a myriad of situations. For this look I went for corporate chic. I paired it with my faux leather midi pleated skirt and my camel coat. To finish off my look I wore my mustard pumps and a brown snakeskin clutch.

js IMG_3576

Bottom line, Sumissura is the business! It is well worth the expense when you consider that it’s made to measure. Their customized shirts start from around $49.00 which is quite impressive. I can’t say enough how impressed I was with their service. I give them top rating for their customization process as well. Even with a waiting period of a few weeks from order to delivery, it was well worth the wait. Next up Fab Four Fashion does Sumissura suits! LOL

Until next time!

Ladies. Can we talk about how hard it is to find the perfect fitting shirt?!! And extra small automatically implies that the sleeve lengths cannot possibly exceed 20 inches. And the bust! Oh the bust! If the bust don’t fit, you must acquit!! LOL.

nd IMG_4247

I don’t think that I need to mention that I’m always on a mission to find shirts with the right sleeve length. Also, I have an arched back, so my shirts often look like they are too big. Then add the bust and I always have that pesky gap which needs to be secured with a safety pin (because fashion tape isn’t actually sufficient!)

nd IMG_4292

Sumissura came to solve all these headaches! Their design tool is fool proof and so easy to use. You can input the obvious (measurements, style and fabric) but I was most impressed with the attention to detail. You can choose the colors of the buttons, thread or button-holes, whether you want epaulettes or not, you can even add a monogram if you want to!

nd IMG_4412

I decided to go with the polka dot shirt (a.k.a fugu) in slim fit, rounded hemline, classic collar, no pockets and shoulder straps. It’s a nice twist on a white shirt and can be worn in a million different ways: with a wide array of colors, solids or prints, for the office or for play. Today, I styled it for play by pairing it with simple jeans and a cape and studded pumps. I am truly happy with my shirt and certainly look forward to ordering many more!

lt IMG_3765

I can honestly attest to the fact that I’ve never had a shirt that actually fit my shoulders, arms and waist properly without a quick trip to the tailor. But this simple striped shirt with flare from Sumissura hit the mark very well. Since it was my first time ordering from this company, I elected to go with a simple shirt that would get a lot of wear. The only extra touch I added was the French cuff sleeves that I just love!

lt IMG_3867

The Sumissura web site is very easy to navigate.  I was able to select whether I wanted a fitted shirt or relaxed fit, breast pockets, epaulettes, French cuffs, monogram, style of collar, fabric and print and this is not even an exhaustive list. The options are seemingly endless! Needless to say, I spent a lot of time trying to “design” my shirt. What is really great is that when I made a selection on the site I could immediately see what my selection would look like (you gotta love technology). This really puts you in the driver’s seat (or should I say designer’s seat).

lt IMG_3791

Next came breaking out the tape measure. Here’s where the magic really happens if you ask me. Make sure you put in your exact measurements. The system will provide a “guestimate” and from there you can make adjustments if needed. I had  a tricky time with this part as my guestimate was quite a bit off. But I know Gail’s was bang on so, it really just depends on the person. The moral of the story is, ensure your measurements are correct. If you run into difficulty, there is a trusty “Need Help” option that you can use to get all the guidance you need.

Then came the styling! I knew I wanted this to be a shirt that to be worn with one of my suits. And since, as most of you know, I’m a print junkie, I was more than happy to slip on my check print suit and striped pumps to turn the dial up on this look. To finish off the look, I threw on this brightly coloured overcoat to make sure I’m seen!

A well tailored shirt is one of the cornerstones of any woman’s closet – a wardrobe staple they’ll reach for over and over again.  Custom shirts offered by Sumissura equals quality, longevity and classic styles thgt can be dressed up or down.

Once again, we discovered a company that understands that women come in all shapes and sizes and thus they make their clothing available to all!

Sumissura not only offers great shirt and blouse styles but custom suits and coats as well and the fabric selections are wide and varied.

gt IMG_3482

The process of choosing the fabric and style of shirt was really quite easy and fun.  One got to choose not only the fabric to be used but the style of the collar, whether the shirt was loose or slim fitting.  One also got to select whether the shirt came with breast pockets or shoulder details and cuff details.  Once your selections were chosen they would be immediately shown on a mannequin so as to give the client an idea of what the shirt would look like given the choices you made!

gt IMG_3427

Once you’ve made all your selections for your shirt you are then prompted to enter your measurements.  The Sumissura site walks you through that whole process making it quite easy and their turnaround time for a custom shirt was lightening quick too!
